I really enjoy this restaurant; although, sometimes the food is a tad too spicey for my North La taste! Also, it is a bit noisey...not conducive to conversation. But, saying all of that, it won't keep me from going back!

i.e., A local favorite, or highly recommended because visited Copelands at 1665 E. Bert Kouns Industrial Loop on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 between 4:30PM and 4:45PM. My friend and I wanted to purchase cheesecake before returning to Arkansas. We walked in along with another group of people who were not with us and went to the Cheesecake area. No one was there at first but later a female employee came and started to clean without even acknowledging that we were there. A male employee came and got something from a freezer and did not acknowledge that were were standing there. After several minutes of being ignored, I asked if the area was closed or would we be waited on that day. The employee then told me that we had to order in the bar. It would have been nice if she or someone had told us that before standing there at least 5 minutes or more. When we proceeded to the bar, the employee there was counting money and did not turn around for several minutes. Long story short, customer service th

My husband and I ate at Copelands, and my husband got very ill after eating corn bisque that was soured. The evening manager came to our table after we brought it to her attention and said, "Yes, it is soured. It has cream and pork in it, and we just threw it all out." I do not understand how someone can allow food to even get close to the point of being soured. I would never go back to Copelands. It was certainly not worth what my husband went through the following 3 days.

good food

the food is good just that nothing to rant and rave about, and it is a bit pricey so I do not go often.

Over the past 5 years, my wife and I have eaten Sunday brunch and occasionally an evening meal at Copeland's in Shreveport. The food portions have gradually gotten smaller and quality has fallen off. My wife has noticed the grilled chicken appears to have been prepared before day of ordering. She likes chicken product prepared the day of order (and not held over from previous night). My food orders have been better; as noted above, the portions have gotten smaller with the prices staying the same. The booth seats never seem to be comfortable and are in need of updating. The brunch schedule begins before 10:30 AM on Sundays which is a positive!
