Dr. Spriggs founded Piedmont Counseling Center in 2013 with the aim of providing truly exceptional mental health services and making these services easily accessible and user friendly. No therapist is able to help everyone and it is in your best interest to careful evaluate how well your therapist will serve your needs. People see Dr. Spriggs for a variety of issues, but he specializes in three primary areas: --Couples/marital therapy and counseling --Psychotherapy for treatment of depressed and anxious mood --Psychotherapy for patients interested in integrating Christian Spirituality into the counseling process (including people who don’t care for organized religion). Dr. Spriggs is a Christian and makes it a priority to be sensitive the unique spirituality of each person he serves. Even if you don’t identify with “organized religion” or don’t consider yourself a person of faith, you have priorities and values that give your life meaning. This is the meaning of spirituality. The more you recognize what will give your life meaning, the more likely you will achieve happiness and your goals for counseling. Dr. Spriggs can help you with this journey. You may find this journey challenging, but you will find a safe place in the therapy process.
