Dr. Sprenkel is a part-time associate optometrist at the office of Dr. Gonzalez. He was deeply moved by his first visit to the eye doctor, and12 years later became one himself. After completing his bachelors degree in psychobiology at UCLA, he graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry. He then completed a residency at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Long Beach, which included additional training in primary care optometry, low vision, traumatic brain injury, and specialty contact lenses. Later, Dr. Sprenkel become a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, focusing on diseases of the retina.
