Overall

Very long story, but it needs to be known to potential customers to BEWARE. Safeway's mechanics have no idea what they're doing half the time. We took a 06 Cobalt in to get a new motor and got one, but they didn't replace the gaskets like they were supposed to. We spent $5,000. They kept telling us the burning oil smell was the CV axles and the Cat Converter. We replaced those and less than a month later, the new motor they put in blew up. Since it still had the warranty, they replaced the new motor again, but definitely made sure we knew it was an inconvenience to them. They wanted us to pay for the labor, the gaskets, and for some unbeknownst reason, they replaced the steering column. After arguing with them that it wasn't our fault, Dan finally said everything would be free. We get the car back, and it's still messed up. They didn't bolt the control arm back up through the sub frame, so the sub frame was hanging from the car. We ended up looking at the CV axle as well and they didn't install it properly so it stripped it out, along with the transmission axle shaft. Now we need a new transmission! They refuse to accept the fact that they are at fault for the transmission stripping so they won't replace it. It's been sitting broken down in our yard for about a month. We get a call the other day (11/04/2015) asking us how we liked our service for the day before and we tell them that it was impossible, the car was sitting in the yard. They said there was a service receipt for it. Moral of the story: DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING. If you take your car in for one thing, it will come out with numerous problems, and Safeway will swear it wasn't their fault! Spent over $5,000 and it was the worst service I've ever experienced. You'd think that since you paid so much, they'd help you out, not put you further into the hole

Take the money & run

As military stationed nearly 45 mins from this dealership, I contacted them regarding a specific vehicle Id been interested in buying. The salesman dealt with me over the phone for several days & once I found out Id been approved for the car I took my trade ins & headed down with a uhaul- prepared to move back west once the car was loaded. They pulled a switch-a-roo with the car, once the paperwork was signed they took me to a completely dif car, not fitting my criteria & insisted there was nothing else they could do. With two trade ins & a 2k mile trip they knew I was in a bad spot. From this point in the salesman was a jerk, the Vic was damaged while loading, I had to call because they forgot to reimburse my deposit & the salesman put me on hold 4 times before I was able to interject & change my address! Even now I've left several msgs with the dealership as I haven't received the title or any billing information. Once I signed my paperwork & handed over the cash this place treated us like garbage. Months later, I'm still waiting for the proper paperwork & haven't received the billing!
