Prego's Trattoria

Food is always friendly, consistent and served hot. This is not an ordinary Italian Resturant, but a gourmet delight that would best be described as "Equa-talia". Don't order off the menu ... Order one of the daily specials and you will never be disappointed -OR- ask the owner to make a special dish for you. If he has the ingredients, he will make it!

Check out our full review with pictures at jjfoodblog.com . We went as a group during lunch on a Tuesday. Prego's was pretty empty but the servers were friendly and fast. Had some fantastic zucchini soup and some awesome chocolate cake, but the main dishes - the 3 of us had chicken parm, lasagna, and chicken piccata - fell short. None of us were overly impressed. The sauces were relatively bland even though they gave you plenty of food.

Once again we had a most wonderful date night at Prego's last night. This place is ALWAYS consistent! The food is phenomenal, the staff is the best around! The owner, Vincento, is just a sweety! They have an exceptional menu and nightly specials that are out of this world! Try the sangria, trust me! It's small enough to be cozy and romantic yet large enough that you usually won't have to wait to be seated. I can't rave enough! Hands down it has to be our favorite restaurant in Burlington and my favorite Italian food anywhere!
