General Info

The Dallas Park and Recreation Department maintains more than 23,000 acres of park land that further includes over 10 lakes. The department organizes leisure, recreational and cultural activities. It maintains various facilities, including neighborhood, community and regional parks, tennis courts, soccer fields, spray grounds, golf courses and picnic pavilions. Located in Dallas, the department organizes activities, such as athletics, arts and crafts, dramas, physical fitness sessions, music instructions and aquatics. Additionally, it serves for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities. The Dallas Park and Recreation Department maintains street medians and athletic fields. It also maintains libraries, cemeteries and restrooms, as well as offers playground and picnic equipment.
