Dr. Kunhunni Vellody, MD

I did not even step foot inside the office and I am switching doctors. I just moved and was switched to this doctor by my insurance. I called because my daughter has a sinus infection and the receptionist was so rude that there is no way I will even go there once. I will not deal with someone like that and based on the reviews of the doctor, I think I making the right decision. I was so upset after that phone call that I needed to post it. Hopefully people will read these reviews before making their decision. I don't know why he keeps her employed.

I was browsing for another doctor when i came across this name. I had my daughter seen in the hospital room by Dr. Vellody when she was born. My first impression of this guy was AWFUL. His "way too tight" pants and his unpleasant intro was not what I expected. Each question I asked seemed to bother him more and more. I'm not sure he even likes kids, let alone their parents. After talking with the nurses, they pretty much had the same negative comments I had for him. One nurse went so far as to refer to him as "generic". She then referred me to a couple other doctors, one of which we chose, we love, and would not trade for the world. I read the other review and wholeheartedly agree with everything she said. If you are a new mom, please do not waste your energy with this office. There are alot more doctors out there that not only care about their patients, but will show it, too. If he treats all his patients the same way, I'm surprised any of his patients remain. My suggestions to the office are: smile at your patients. They appreciate it, greatly. Answer our questions without judgement and haste. We ask because we either don't know the answer or we need confirmation.

First and foremost I like to feel welcomed when you go to the doctors office. I had brought my son there for about five years and every time I left I asked myself why I still go there. The secretary is the most unpleasant, rudest woman I've ever seen working in a children's setting or in a professional setting period. Not once did I call there and could not believe the manner that I received from this woman. I would be surprised if I was the first to complain. I start my complaint with her because she is pretty much the only person you deal with. The doctor comes in, barely says a few words, when you have questions the answers are short and very un-personal. If you’re a new mother with a lot of questions this is not the place for you. I have not one good thing to say about this place and will never go to there office again. I was lucky to have a very healthy child so my visits where only shots and check ups, but even to call there regarding past visits is not worth it. I'm glad I took a copy of my child's record when I left because like I said I won't ever deal with this office again.
