Gainesville institution. You can trust the Tire Barn folks to tell you what they honestly believe to be wrong and what to do to fix a problem. I have done business with them for over 20 years and I have always been treated right. Comfortable waiting room and wi-fi.

Took my car in for two new tir...

Took my car in for two new tires and an oil change. Tire Barn replaced my two back tires and moved one of the better tires to the front because they were lacking as well. They were prompt and curteous. Driving home that day, when my car accelerated to 55mph it started to vibrage roughly. It did not do that BEFORE i put the tires on so i took it back to be informed the tires were only rotated, not balanced and they could now balance the front tires at my expense of course. Discounted, but still at my expense. I later recieve a call that my passanger side wheel is bent (tire not replaced) and even though it wasnt causing vibration before... it is surely the cause now. So now i have to buy a new rim (wheel). One was ordered.... not matching the car of course and they also were unable to put the hubcap back on thanks to it not fitting my new non matching wheel. Just awesome... im now not only out ANOTHER $90.00 but my tires dont match and my car looks like crap. I went there because they were close to my job and seemed like a decent company... which i guess they were. The staff, sensing my annoyance continued to be extremely polite. But, I however am extremely annoyed with the situation and dont feel that i would be back. After $300 my car looks ghetto and i am not a happy girl. Sorry to say. In all fairness the situation may be something they are not at fault for but it upset me i had to go back when properly informed i could have had the tires balanced the day the new ones were put on. My biggest annoyance comes from the new wheel.... i am very upset at the appearance of my car now. I just simply wish i would have been informed that the wheel didnt match my other ones and i would have just driven on it till i could find a new shop with the right one.

You Get What You Pay For

I got 4 used tires from The Tire Barn. Two at a time. The first set were ok but the second set were not. I called them and told them and they re balanced them for me. I called them back and told them that did not fix the problem that the tire was a bad tire. They told me it was used and only $25 so I should expect problems and there was nothing they could do about it. I have had this tire inspected by someone else and they said that it is a bad tire and could have possibly caused a wreck!! I have 2 small children and to know that I could have had a wreck with them in the car terrorizes me of The Tire Barn. I will never step a foot back in the place. BEWARE that you could get service from them that is half way right and end up in a bad situation!! I guess they really go by the old saying" you get what you pay for"

My name is Bill Roper. My brother and I own The Tire Barn. We are a family business started in 1971. Until recently we have not checked our reviews, but seeing this I wanted to respond. First and foremost, I want to emphasize we have been here these years because we work for customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, we failed with this mother of two. Certainly we would never knowingly have someone ride on a questionable tire. We fully inspect and guarantee any used tire we sell. My guess is we didn't have another used tire to replace the tire in question. In that case we are happy to refund every cent or apply every cent toward the purchase of a new tire.
