Car was painted a month ago; we noticed several errors: bubbled up paint, areas with no paint, scratches, etc... errors that should NOT be on a freshly painted car. We brought the car back to the shop several times. At one point the person who originally worked on it quit (no surprise there). Finally brought the car in yesterday. When Mike got around to us he was very accusatory and made statements like "well, you can't expect it to be perfect" and "we can try to fix it but the's still no guarantee." We picked the car up today and there are more issues than before! I mean, a 2 year old could stay within the lines better than these guys. There's paint on the window, tires/rims, door handles, I mean everywhere! There was even a bit of blue paint on the car (the car is cream colored). We are tired of going back and forth with Mike, therefore I would like to warn anyone considering this business to stay away. You are better off buying paint from Home Depot and doing it yourself.

took my car 3 times !! Over 21 days and they could not follow a list of things to fix!!!! I had to take my car back 3 times (after I paid for all the work!!). They broke my BMW door lock and mechanism and they wanted to charge me to fix it. Very sloppy work and no professionalism !!

My name is Michael Cohen and i am the owner of Economy Auto Painting. I’m very proud to say i never had a complaint in 27 years. I have repaired and painted over 60,000 cars with the help of my expert technicians. Theres always two sides to every story. Magie S. forgot to mention that the first three times coming to the shop was for estimates only. I wrote a very detailed estimate the last time which included a itemized list of all parts needed. A couple of weeks later she finally brought the car to have it repaired. After spending a lot of time again the night before explaining everything that were going to do in step by step detail. She dropped the off the next morning before i even arrived to the shop. To my surprise Magie S. was only going to fix some of the original estimate items. She also left a unreadable note of what she wanted repaired. I had to call her to explain. Magic S. explained that she would have to repair the car in sections that would work with her financial situation. I agreed to do the repair. I finished the car in a reasonable amount of time. Magic S picked the car and was very happy with it after i went over everything that i did. Magie S. returned the car a few weeks later to do some more repairs that i quoted on the original estimate. She had pointed out a few things that she said were not there before the first repair. This is a very common problem that occurs on a lot of older cars that frequently visit repair shops. I agreed to repair the list of small items for free to avoid having a unhappy customer. We had to special order some window parts that wouldn’t arrive for 5 to 7 days. She didn’t want to pick up the car until the parts came in. Which was totally against my suggestion. Keep in mind that 80% of this job was replacing parts. Towards the end Magie S. was angry with me because of the parts delay. I couldn’t reason with her at all. I also pointed out several other problems that she had with the car which didn’t help the situation. I really try my hardest to make every customer happy and my decisions are always in the favor of the customer. I handle every customer myself and write most estimates. I do understand that older cars have a lot of problems and most shops don’t want to deal with it. But at Economy Auto Painting we specialize in the repair of older cars and hard to find parts. I would be very happy to have Magie S. return to my shop and have my team of experts help to make her a happy customer. Thank you again Magie S. for letting Economy Auto Painting work on your car.

I took my car there the other day, and Michael, the owner, took care of me in just a few minutes. He said the car didn't need to be painted and fixed the damage with some tools. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have known this body shop since the late 90's...I took a Dodge Caravan that to me appeared totalled..insurance said "Fix it!"...and Economy did just that. When I got the vehicle back I thought they had "switched" vans on me!! It looked brand new! I even sent my ex-wife there for an estimate..I mean who needs hassles from an ex, right? She thanked me!

This shop is owner run and managed..and they pay attention to customer service. They hire people who know paint & body repair, inside and out...and you'll be satisfied when you leave.
