- Dr. Jake Wilson is a board-certified Family Medicine physician. He attended the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency at the UAB Huntsville campus. Prior to entering the medical field, he was enlisted in the Navy as an aircraft mechanic working on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier. After his military experience, he went on to graduate from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) with a degree in business. Following college, he worked in the financial field with a government contracting company before eventually answering his life’s calling to go back to school to practice medicine. He enjoys exercising, the outdoors, and spending time with his family. It is often said, “I wish we had a doctor in the family.” When you come to Premium Family Care, you will be treated like family. You will see the same doctor at every visit, ensuring that you always receive individualized, personal attention. I strive to build long-term, partnering relationships with my patients. I believe prevention of disease and promotion of healthy lifestyles are critical for patients’ well-being and long-term health. For this reason and for the safety of my patients, I will NOT provide opioids (Norco, Percocet, Tramadol, etc.) for any chronic pain. I will also not provide treatment for patients with Benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, etc.). In my experience the risk of chronic use of these medications outweighs the potential benefit. Provided by Doctor.comDr. Wilson is very knowledgeable and very attentive. He listens carefully and is excellent at providing a plan that works to your own natural healing and physiological make up. He's great, I would recommend him to all my friends and family. There was no wait and the staff is so courteous and professional. The experience was so refreshing. Especially important if you're a busy professional and you do not have a great deal of time to spend in waiting rooms or getting the run around. A very welcomed and pleasant change. If only more physician's offices operated this way we would be a happier, less stressed patient clientele! Thank you so much Premium Family Care!

Provided by Doctor.comThe office environment was very welcoming. Dr. Wilson took time out to explain things to me. The experience did not feel rushed which is something that I was looking for most in finding a primary care physician. Jennifer was amazing also! Very warm and helpful.

Provided by Doctor.comI have a very complicated case, and I have seen a lot of very awful doctors over the years. However, from the second my husband and I talked to them on the phone, we were impressed. Then, we came in for our appointment and were treated just like family. The nurses and Dr. Wilson greeted us immediately and were extremely friendly. After that, both the nurses and Dr. Wilson spent an incredible amount of time with us, just like they had all the time in the world! My husband and I are excited about being patients here at Premium Family Care.
You should definitely give them a try!!!
