        So I drive to the repair shop and I am told they will look at it. I have a drivers side tire with the steel belts poking out. I tell the customer service rep that once he determines the problem I will let him fix it and put new tires on it. He says "fine" and he will call me. An hour later he calls and says "You know the steel belts are poking out?" I says yes I know I had told you that. "Well ' he says, I am not going to drive it into the shop (a distance of 20 feet)unless you put new tires on it first(before fixing the problem causing the steel belts to stick through). He wasn't going to give me an estimate of the bill until I bought new tires first is what he was saying. I took it elsewhere and found the problem to be a wheel bearing. I am going to need new tires once the bearing is fixed on Monday. Who do you think will not get my business on the replacement of my tires? 1 star is too many.

        WALKED IN FOR A OIL CHANGE AND THEY TOOK ME RIGHT IN VERY CLEAN AND RESPECTFUL PEOPLE THE MECHANICS THERE KYLE AND RAY EXPLAINED THAT MIDAS HAD BEEN PUTTING THE WRONG OIL WEIGHT IN MY VEHICLE AND THAT THEY CORRECTED THE ISSUE LOVE THIS PLACE WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE AND PRICES ARE VERY FAIR....

        Ocean state auto will open in the winter months. It is under new management and is not owned by Marcelo's transmission. I know this because I stopped by while it was under construction and met with the new owners and contractors and they are very nice people who know what they are doing. I live by here and can't wait until they are opened!

        My loss is your wisdom gain. I had my transmission rebuilt in December 2008 by Marcellos. aproximately 18 months later, (without traveling much with the car) I am in need of a brand new transmission again. He didnt stand behind his work. When I brought the vehicle back to him to find out what is wrong, he simply stated, the waranty period for his work is over. He then hooked it up to a machine and said I need the selenoid block replaced, so I let him do it. It cost me another $550, and then after he has installed this electrical piece into the transmission, which I have to pay for of course, he tells me I need an entire transmission replaced again. :-( So of course I had to pay the $550 to get my car back. Do NOT, under any; circumstances use him!!! I am now out $2650.00 and still need a transmission!!!!
