Callaway's Transmission

Callaway's Transmission came highly recommended by an employee at Autozone. My 1995 VW Passat VR6 had a failing transmission. Immediately walking into the business, I started describing in detail the symptoms. Major Callaway, who's been in the business for 40 years, said he needed to exchange a part for another job and offered to drive with me to evaluate my transmission. He gave me a whole education in transmission mechanics along the way. Back in his humble office, there is a yellowed decoupage plaque of a 1984 newspaper article featuring the (then) young Major who was featured for his work ethic, his honesty, and his tenacity to help people fairly with their car problems. I liked Mr. Callaway's approach and decided to get my tranny exchanged with a used one by him.

We had a scare that the used tranny for this difficult model was no good. But after a day of researching and diagnosing why the new one didn't shift properly, he found that electrical contacts needed to be cleaned and some Volkswagen-specific "flash" had to be applied. Now it works great! His price was fair--no, more than fair--as he bent over backwards to get my older wagen back on the road. I'm a very happy camper.

My experience with Callaway transmission.

I own a Dodge and I felt there is strange noise coming from the transmission, it was very stressful and as a student I was scare because I knew it is going to cost me so much. So finally I found Callaway transmission from the internet. My experience with the Callsaway has been extremely good. The customer service was extraordinary; they diagnose and fix my car in 3 hours. It was one best friendly place. They clean the transmission, flush and replace the filter. The techs are very well experience they even changed the Gaskets as my car was leaking all over. They took care everything in 3 hour and it cost me so little money. Callaway’s Transmission are very successful strategic planner and self management friendly people. There exceptional communication was so good that I felt like in my home. If any one in the area wants to try please try once Callaway. I know I have found a place if I need to fix my car and will refer many more to Callaway,s.

Callaway overhauled the transimission on my 2002 ford taraus, which was completely trashed. He did the job at a fair price, completed on time, guaranteed his work and the transmission has worked fine for three months now. He also fixed a problem with the security system which prevented the engine from starting at no charge. I plane to use Callaway for all of my future auto repairs.

My 2005 Ford Expedition transmission was slipping badly. Mr. Callaway came highly recommended. I was told Mr. Callaway had been in business over 37 yrs, had a straight talk demeanor and was a man of integrity. I called Mr. Callaway and he told me to come right down. I told him the problem I was experiencing and he listened patiently. He connected the diagnostic device but there were no codes so we took a test drive; we didn't make it up the hill leaving his shop. He told me I most likely needed a rebuilt transmission because Ford had made design changes on my transmission type. I had a price in mind and from earlier quotes and shared them with Mr. Callaway. He flat out told me anyone doing it that cheap would do an inferior job. I liked what I heard so I paid him upfront and he completed the job in just 2 days. I picked up my vehicle and there was a studder. I took it back and he fixed it without any hesitation. It even cost him an add'tl $469 in parts. A man of his word!!!
