After buying a General 330 two man auger from their used inventory that they had told me they had "completely gone through and was in perfect working order and ready to start drill holes and that if I had any problems they would correct them," did I get to the job to realize they did NOT fill the gear box with any oil, just the engine. It was missing 3 bolts, and the clutch slips on an 8" bit, I called them and they said I bought it "as is." Then after properly fixing the unit myself, I foolishly called them to see if I could purchase an extension for it from their inventory, the lady said they don't sell their tools, only rent them?? Then how did I get the auger in the first place?? I said could I rent and extension? She said no, I had to rent the auger too. Then I said could you order me one? She said no. What happened to putting the customer first or even helping them with something they bought from you? Horrible customer service, this is why I go to Lowes now. Thanks Home Depot!!
