Lester's Diner

My wife and I took our five year old granddaughter to breakfast at the Margate Lesters Diner this morning. We have been customers for twenty-five years or more. We ask for and were given a booster for our granddaughter. She cant fit in a high chair and cant reach the table from the chair. We have never had a problem with getting a booster but after we received breakfast the waitress came to the table and said the manager sent her to tell us we couldnt use the booster due to insurance regulations. When we starting asking questions the waitress brought back a nasty manager who said we had two choices, my granddaughter could sit in a high chair or on a chair. I guess this is the new child unfriendly Lesters Diner. She told us a child had fallen off the chair in a booster and they couldnt use them anymore. They make boosters with straps but I guess that would cost them money and that wasnt given as a future choice. I dont know why the booster was available and given to us

It's a hard act to follow when the original renowned Lester's is off SR84; and is a culinary institution. This one IS NOT THAT ONE!! One day you can have a great meal and the next day you wonder what the cook is intoxicated on!! For that reason, even though it is practically in my "backyard" I have not frequented it all that much. I did get a great delivery one night and was shocked at the speed and freshness of all I ordered. Plus, the order was totally correct. Not sure if they still deliver but I have not ruled Lester's out as of yet.
