Worst experience I have ever had with a garage, especially after being in an accident. They are rude and milk the system for every penny! Don't ever get your car towed by them!

While visiting friends in Albany, my car was towed due to a snow emergency, for which there were no signs on the entire block informing me I couldn't park there. The driver I dealt with from Dott's, an older white man with a mustache, was at best brusque and at worst outright threatening. His whole conduct was that of a lowlife thug.

Do not give this business a single dime under any circumstance.

During a "snow emergency" in Albany, I parked in front of a strip of local businesses to get a haircut, and then quick bite to eat. During dinner the waitress made everyone aware that cars were being towed out front. I immediately ran out and met the individual from Dotts doing the towing. He offered me a bribe of $25 to not tow the car, but insisted I had to have the cash on me at that moment. I negotiated with him that I would be back in under 1 minute. After running to the door and back with the $25, in about 30 seconds, the driver was pulling away with my car in tow. My personal opinion as a resident of the city, tax payer, and someone supporting the local businesses within the city, is that Dott's is not concerned with the community it serves. They are a business concerned with making a maximum profit and hire employees with poor ethics to make that happen.

Quick, efficient, fair, conscientious, considerate, helpful and reasonably priced! I have an arguably interesting story, that I’m too tired to properly convey right now. Hopefully, this site will allow me to come back and elaborate at a later time. For now, let me just say that Joe and his co-workers walked the extra fifty miles for my partner and me in numerous ways, and turned a potential genuine disaster into a short term ever so slight inconvenience.

I was given a price by an employee. The price was later changed by $62.00. The owner Joe was rude and obnoxios..he at first refused to give me his name..I asked for his business license number or tower number, some sort of ID...he claimed he does not have any type of license and that he does not need a license of any type to operate a business in the state of ny! I would like to report him to NYS... He also changed the hour that I needed to redeem by...I don't think he should have even 1 star...rude, nasty, hatefull and deceptive

Expect to get ripped off. The Albany police had my car towed here. The garage took 9 days to give us a repair estimate even though we called numerous times as we thought the car was totaled. We were then going to take the car once we confirmed it wasn't worth fixing and were told for the first time there was a large daily "storage fee". They never previously told about that fee and I am convinced they inflated the fee by taking so long to do an estimate for a car that was obviously totaled. Bad business and bad that the city of Albany is apparently directing cars there.
