I want to share my recent car purchase experience in order to help others avoiding the same trap.This summer I decided to replace my 5 years old CR-V with a new one. Ive already heard that some dealers are adding unwanted accessory packages to the car, so when I requested a quote from one of the dealers in my area I also asked about that is there any hidden fee or additional package I should expect. The answer was pretty clear saying there is only the usual tax, tag, registration, and dealer fee, and there is no extra package installed on the car. (I still have these emails in my inbox.)The quote and the above answer was enough to bring me into the dealership. The negotiation went fine until they mentioned that there is a protection package already installed on the car. I asked them to remove, since Im satisfied with the standard equipment. They were very stiff about that they received the car from the factory as is and they cannot remove the extra accessories. They also assured me of that these accessories are useful and reasonable.Since the accessory package was always mentioned outside of the scope of the negotiation, and I trusted in the Honda name, finally I accepted the offer and drove the new car home. Even though I was happy about the car, the protection package was still bugging my mind. Few hours later I made a list of the extra accessories and I checked the price on the dealers web site. I even added the ridiculous labor ($30 for dropping the floor mats and cargo tray in the car?) to the total price. It turned out it would cost $700 if I added these accessories to a plain model instead of the $1799 theyve charged me. Its $1100 difference I couldnt associate with any value. And I just ignored the fact that some of the accessories I wouldnt install myself because they are useless. Anyway. I signed the contract, drove the car home. It is like realizing I made a mistake after I paid and left the cashier, right? Not exactly. In the case of other merchants there is an option to return the product. Even the infamous airlines give 24-hour cancellation for their non-refundable tickets. But the car dealers contract makes the cancellation impossible.They know how to manipulate the customers and how to hide the facts that could help customers making deliberate decisions. They also make sure the customer wont be able to return the car after waking up from the hypnosis. Let me summarize what happened. The email offer promised there will be no additional cost. The extra package was mandatory and introduced as reasonable add-on from the manufacturer. When I realized that I was misled it was too late, the contract doesnt respect the buyers dissatisfaction at all.It looks like a bait and switch for me. Do yourself a favor, and check the accessory prices before you head to the dealer, and dont forget to ask a detailed list of extra accessories if they come up with the what-ever-named mandatory package. Be also ready for negotiating the price or the removal of the package. Keep in mind, the extra fee can make a real difference when you compare Honda to other models. I hope you will learn from my mistake and wont let them steal your money!

I have been coming to Crown Honda for over 20 years and I have since moved to New York and when I come back to visit I always bring my vehicle in for them to service my Honda. My vehicle has over 250,000.00 miles on it and they are one of the reasons why. Mike Larson is an incredible technician so between him and Michele Dessert I have 100% percent peace of mind that my vehicle will take me where I need to go! ie next stop California with my Honda

I brought my 2006 Honda Pilot in yesterday 4/15/15 for service. My advisor was Daimara Morrill. She was very pleasant in greeting me. She suggested another service that I was due for. She went over the cost and the time it would take to complete the service. I bought my car from Crown and have had all maintenance done at this location. This is the first time meeting Daimara and I will most definately make my service appointments with her. She has a great personality and knows her business.

I was in and out in no time today 4/15/2015. Brooks Falzone always does everything he can to make your experance pleasant. Brandon the tech did a great job with the checkup of my accord. He and Brooks took me into the shop to show me the issues found. Even better Brooks let me know they take competitors coupons :)

i contacted Crown Honda recently to have my car serviced and they were able to fit me in within the day. When I picked my car up the next day I noticed there was still a little issue. I brought it back and spoke to the service department and they were quick to resolve the issue! It was like brand new once I got it back. Brooks and the rest of the Crown Honda service team were awesome! I would highly recommend them.

Brooks Falzone was great in assisting me with my first visit to Crown Honda since purchasing my van. He went out of his way to make sure I was happy. He went so far as to go back while my car was being serviced to take pictures for me and got into my car when I couldn't get one of my seats to work properly. Crown Honda is by far the best place to look for a new car at! I had the best customer service from Amy Simpson! She has a great understanding of cars and is able to work with you and find you the perfect one! Also Jim hesslegrave made the finace part a breeze!
