Tiffany's Skate Inn

Banned for freestyle skating??? I am a 60 year old honorably discharged veteran, Watchdog for Sumner School district, and a decades long advocate for disadvantaged children. I also love to skate, and have reasonable skills and proficiency.

Recently I went to Tyfanny's to skate, as I have done for many, many years, and have brought my kids, my nieces and nephews, and even neighbor kids. I have paid for too many skate parties to count.

As I waited in my car for them to open, an employee who I know well, and is a friend, came out and told me I was now banned from Tyfanny's because I was "railing" (lift one skate off the floor as if to skate along the wall) even though I do not touch the walls, (as Dennis acknowledged just weeks ago) and endangered NO other skaters, ever. Many skaters do the same trick and they are not banned. I was banned, just like that.

I decided I wanted to hear it from Dennis and waited in line for them to open. I went inside and respectfully asked Dennis if I could talk with him. Dennis King Junior just looked at me and said quite clearly "you have 30 seconds to get off my property". This was said loud enough for other skaters to hear, who I also know well and are friends. This was the level of respect I would receive after many years of patronage. A one-line clear threat. I was humiliated at the front door with everyone looking on in confusion.

I am filing a Defamation/Discrimination lawsuit in Superior Court and it is an unfortunate turn of events when I actually enjoyed skating at this rink, and the many friends I have made there, who agree, this was horribly wrong, arbitrary, and blatantly unfair to me.

Not sure how this passes for a family friendly atmosphere and frankly a little scary as this was clearly a new and noticeably aggressive stance by this business owner who spends many days in close proximity with children. I did nothing to deserve being treated this way. Nothing. Makes one wonder; Who's next?

ive had my kids birthday parties there every year and its spectacular and the ladie that said its not a good place shes wrong the pizza is great its normal sized you can get smaller if you want but their usually 8 pieces and really good its a great place toskate i go every week friday and saturday nights lots of people go and its tons of fun its a great place you should go some day

I do not like their parties. I've had 2 birthday parties here and I just thing that the "hostess" is not around enough, well actually at all. The party is really second rate. You pay as much to go there as you do to go to Chuck E Cheese, yet the quality of the party is MUCH less for the money paid. You can't leave your birthday items on the table for the duration of your party. The pizza provided is a small (badly cooked, bad tasting) over priced pizza. The only thing you get for your money are the skate tickets. You are not aloud to bring in any of your own decorations or party favors. I think it would be better and less expensive to have the party at home and just go skating afterwards. At least then, they kids would have a better more attentive party. Or for the money, just go to Chuck E Cheese's.

Birthday Party at Tiffany's.....NOT RECOMMENDED!

My daughter and I like to skate there and previously my wife took her girl scout troop there. Lots of fun. Good rink to skate in.
