Ace Auto Tuning

My roommate, who is Korean, recommended Ace Auto Tuning, so I took my car there a couple times for repairs. The first time I went there, there was a problem with the engine which they fixed for $250. Since I thought it was a much more serious problem, I was grateful that it only cost $250 to fix.



However, the second time I went to Ace Auto Tuning was to get the back brake shoes and cylinders replaced. I stood next to the mechanic for almost two hours while he ordered and replaced the brake shoes and cylinders. I watched them place the order, take the parts out of the box, and put them on the car. They charged me $275 for this. I went home to look up on the internet the cost of a repair such as this, and it turns out that Ace Auto Tuning charged me over $100 more than the average cost. When I looked on the receipt, they hid the extra cost in the mark-up of the parts. They charged a ridiculous 400% more for the parts.



I would not recommend this mechanic as trustworthy.
