Love's Seafood & Steaks

It took us forever to get seated and when they did seat me they sat us near the door which was loud and annoying theres no view near the door also the little kid at the door was the worst hostess ever and there's a reason I say hostess he caught an attitude when we asked to be seated luckily the food was delicious and very quick the waitress was god once she came over to us could've been a little more attentive but I would definitely fire the little kid at the door almost left just because of him.

I'm a local, but I always enjoy going to Love's. It has a great view of the Ogeechee River, is comfortable and low-key, and serves great fresh seafood. My last visit put some wild-caught, fresh Georgia shrimp on the table, which was fried to perfection. Of course, the crispy scored flounder is excellent. Other notable restaurants serve this dish in Savannah, but Love's is just as good and less expensive.

We've been dining here for almost 20 years on and off and my family for many years prior. Whenever we're in town we make a point of stopping at Loves for great seafood, this trip was no exception. The place is always crowded, but we were seated quickly. I had the white shrimp, which as always was excellent. Not giant shrimp, but large enough. I had the large option, 19 or 22 shrimp. I also had the crab cake, made fresh, and it came with their great hush puppies and fries. My meal was very good! My wife had the crab cake meal and it was also excellent. On the following Sunday, we again ate at Loves with several family members and everyone had a great meal. The pricing is not bad and most families can enjoy a full meal and not leave broke! We ate our first meal around 6pm and got to see the sunset over the river. It was beautiful! If you want good seafood at good prices in a family atmosphere, Loves is the place to go!

I like the crab balls and the hush puppies here- the tardar sauce is homemade really good ! The fried catfish are also good.

A little drive from downtown but well worth it. The spot is popular and parking is where you can find it. The location, riverside is very picturesque. I see why they filmed scenes from Forest Gump here. But the true star is the food. A great verity and very fresh. The onion rings are not to be missed. This will be on our list to visit next time we come to town.

Arrived at the restaurant weary from traveling from NJ and looked for a great meal. We were greeted by a phenomenal waiter, Dominick, who turned our experience around with his incredible personality, service and interest in his diners. Thanks to Dominick, we had a delicious and enjoyable meal with superb dishes freshly prepared. A definite must to return to in the future. Thanks Dominick for a great dining experience.

Loves has been around Savannah since 1949! It located directly on the Ochgeehe (sp) river on US 17. Easy to get to and the view is special. Now the food, good southern seafood battered perfectly. We had fresh flounder and Atkantic white shrimp, large as ones thumb. Service was very good and the key lime pie was to die for. Price in line for service, location and quality. When I'm this way again I will seek out Loves!

What a wonderful experience! We walked in 15 til close and received service like we arrived at 5! Kerri our server was awesome with a great personality and attitude.....The food presentation by Chef Brandon (Brendon?) was just lovely and it was cooked superbly! We had the Scored Flounder....oh my dear... I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants top notch service and excellent, flavorful food.

My salmon dinner was delicious. The waitress was delightful. The view was gorgeous. I am a full, happy camper!

From the minute we walked up and heard the blues/jazz music playing we knew we were in the right place. Great outdoor patio .... and wonderful indoor seating along a glassed wall with a fabulous waterfront view! Luckily Kristina (a sweet and intuitive hostess!) sat us right in the perfect spot by a huge glass window with a beautiful sunset! The next best thing to happen to us was we had Terry as our server! Terry was so attentive and considerate! Cordial and pleasing ... we truly enjoyed having him help us with our wine and dinner selections! Love's is very lucky to have Terry with them! He presents a genuinely caring person.... who wants to make your meal a memorable dining pleasure! Our experience was wonderful due to the great food and great service!

Stopped by for dinner & it was our first time eating here.. I can say that it will not be our last time either!! The food was awesome!!! Our waiter Terry was the absolute BEST!!! He took great care of us, and answered all our questions.. So sweet and very professional.. Make sure to Ask for Terry, u will enjoy the service and the mouth watering food!! Oh and the place is very CLEAN!! All around GREAT EXPERIENCE

I have eaten here several times and did so again last night. The waiter, Terry, was great. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. The food was great as usually. Not gourmet seafood but good southern style food. I had the GA White shrimp fried and they were done perfectly. they were lightly battered. cole slaw was good and the sweet tea was very good. Overall this is a great place for dinner and for gatherings. I would recommend it to anyone.

Waitress was very kind and helpful with all the questions I had about the menu and what alcoholic beverages would go with each entree. I ordered the alligator tail appitizer and the fried seafood platter which she suggested and everything was cooked perfectly.

Great shrimp and grits and the surf and turf (rib eye with shrimp) delicious. Stopped because of the excellent reviews. Glad we did. Bookmarked thus place for future returns.

Love's is certainly one place you'll not want to pass by. We like to sit out on the glassed in "porch" overlooking the river. There is also outdoor seating available as well as several dining rooms inside.

I LOVE Love's Seafood! We will definitely be coming back and will also be our go to restaurant for out of town guests.

Great seafood. Service is great. Quality of food is good. Medium expensive. Good family atmosphere. Variety of seafood dishes. Arrive early for fast seating. Usually it is open in the evenings only. Outside seating available. Located near the waterway. Beautiful sunsets depending where you are sitting.

We had a very short wait, our waitress was very pleasant and our food was wonderful. glad to read you have a limited appetite selection on the menu. Keep up the good work we visit everytime we are in town!
