Provided by DexKnowsThis was our first time to Benihana's and we were pleased to find it within walking distance of our hotel. We were seated with 2 other couples at Tony's station. Tony made a few attempts at humor and the "tricks" that is normal for hibachi cooking. However, when some famous customers (major league baseball players) came in and were seated at tables near us, he spent all of his time watching them while cooking our entrees. As soon as he could finish, he said his goodbyes and left us to go join the VIP's. The food was good, the sauces were mediocre, and the Chef was deplorable. Our server was on it, though, and tried to make up for his ill manners. We will not go back to Benihana's to be ignored again.

Provided by DexKnowsI went with 5 of my co-workers to Benihana's in Seattle on a Sunday afternoon. We had made reservations for 5:30pm. When we arrived we were told it would be a "few minutes" which turned into 30 minutes. What is the point in making a reservation if the establishment does not honor or explain the delay? Our waitress was June - she was a rotund young woman who told us to "be quiet - I am talking!" when she introduced the menu and took our drink orders. We were the middle table of three - and she made a point of smashing into us to get by and pushing our chairs in. Very rude. Cannot say much for the food - average to say the least. At least I can say I have been but I sure won't be back. And if you go be sure to watch out for the surly waitress, June. You have been warned!

Provided by DexKnowsThis is my favorite restaurant in Seattle! I think it's a perfect place for Birthdays, dates, and family time. Little kids love the show that is put on by the cooks. I usually get "Rocky’s Choice" and a side of Fried Rice, but I have always had great food every time I’ve gone.

Provided by SuperpagesThe food is good, not spectacular and not for "foodies", but the show the chef puts on is very good and if you have kids, they love it.

Provided by DexKnowsThis place was so fun. They cook your food right in front of you. It is located in a great spot, not too far from all the shopping in downtown. I definatly say this is a great place to eat. It is a fun place to go with kids or without.

Went with six of my friends for a casual dinner. I had never been to this restaurant before and was looking forward to it. We were greeted by a very surly waitress "June" who actually yelled at us to be quiet while she told us about the dinner specials. We listened, and then proceeded to look at the menu - but oh, no! June was ready to take our orders NOW!
We asked for some time and she actually pouted while we quickly made up our minds. Our "chef" was fine - nothing spectacular. But June made a point of squeezing her large frame between our table and the one behind us, bumping us and moving our chairs while she served us. The food was so-so, not at all what you would expect for the price. The service was terrible - we did not feel welcomed and actually felt as though we were being rushed out the door. Save your money and go somewhere else. But if you do go, watch out for June!
