Holy Family Hospotal

I cannot believe how horrible doctors, PA's and nurses, staff etc are at providence and especially at Holy Family Hospital. This place has in my opinion some of the most unfriendly, rude, unprofessional bigoted nurses that I have ever come across. They tell me I will see a md and both times i see a P.a. not an orthopedic. This place is filthy, the conversation of the staff, nurses sound moire like ghetto and far from articulate . I wore a star of david jewish star and I thought i was a criminal the way i was being stared at. I also clearly heard anti semitic remarks in the waiting room from staff and who knows who the others were. I can honestly say, a witch doctor could ahve treated my left knee and leg better than the alleged medical staff at providence. I injured my leg, shoulder and elbow 18 months ago. But, hey, they say im not in pain, Im better. I guess i am too stupid to know I am better and my leg is not still as swollen now as 18 months ago. A previous visit at providence I was told to strip naked while the doctor examines my elbow knee and shoulder...i am not making this up....Please avoid this horror house

After going to Deaconess and being released, I went to Holy Family and the doctors were amazing. From Check in to check out, I was in great hands. The Doctor listened and really tried to find out what was going on with me. I'll never go to Deaconess again, Holy Family will be my number 1 choice.

What a joke. After being admitted, they took my personal belongings. Took several hours before a doctor finally was able to speak to me. All the nurses forgot about my requests in the meantime. Upon leaving and the return of my personal belongings, they lost my keys which had my house key and vehicle key. They "looked" all over for an hour while I patiently waited. They gave up, gave me a complaint form and sent me on my way. Being locked out of my own home and not being able to unlock/drive my personal vehicle, I was in a very bad spot. They gave me the number of the manager to call and a complaint form. I left a message because they did not pick up. Left a message with 4 managers (to which its been a week and none have returned my call), and then was able to talk to the nurse that aided me in the ER. He proceeded to hang up on me. Calling again I received the run-around which ended everytime with a answering machine, to which I would then call back. They haven't tried to do anything.

WORST ER NURSE!!! I went into Holy Family ER last night with a bad sprain. I could not put any weight on it and it was incredibly painful. The ER was busy which I expected but they got me back to a bed quickly. Once back there I had to ask for a pillow and ice to elevate and ice my foot, then I waited 3 HOURS for the nurse to bring them to me. I called her twice in 4 hours and the second time she hung up on me. A nurse should AT THE VERY LEAST provide basic first aid until you can see a doctor and this nurse-JAMIE was very put out by that. When she did bring the pillow she just threw it on the bed and did not even help me evevate my foot that I could barely move. I tried to tell her I needed to use the bathroom after 5 hours and she kept walking away. Finally my husband got her attention and said I needed the bathroom and SHE SAID SHE DID NOT HAVE A WHEELCHAIR HANDY AND DID NOT WANT TO HUNT ONE DOWN SO I SHOULD HOBBLE TO THE BATHROOM ON A FOOT I COULD PUT NO WEIGHT ON!!! An orderly brought me a chair and she rolled her eyes at me, then poked her head in when I got back and said" It aint broke", in a snarky rude tone. I was not asking for pain killers, I was not bothering her for anything outside of her job description, I was fine waiting long periods of time because I know nurses get busy but this nurse took 2 smoke breaks in an hour and treated me like trash. WORST NURSE EVER!!! The rest of the staff was nice.

Holy Family ER just discharged a man without treatment in the middle of an MS Attack because the permanent damage happening to his brain was not "life threatening ENOUGH". They manipulated him into signing things while he was, in his own words, "confused and unable to think". They blatantly lied to the holder of his medical power of attorney with the full OK of the doctor and the head charge nurse. This hospital has no moral compass, they will kill your loved ones. Stay away.



I have every intention to post this anywhere potential patients and oversight people might see it in the hopes something gets done about whatever situation causes the staff at this hospital to think this behavior is acceptable.
