We have been with J & J Refuse for years. Their service is very nice. We are happy customers. I put the cart between two parked cars by the curb and the men always put my cart back in my yard. I like that this is a local company. Thank you J & J!

I've been with this service for 15 years it's family owned and operated, and rain or shine they come through.
It may be late that they come but always come through ( keep your trash barrel by curb until you notice that they have came)

I've been with this company for 25 years. Though they are not perfect I have only had a couple of instances in all this time when they were unable to pick up in a reasonable amount of time. \

DO NOT START SERVICES WITH THIS COMPANY! They didn't pick up my trash for a MONTH!! I tried to call them every single day! They never answered one call and most of the time the mailbox was full. I finally had to start services with another company and now they are refusing to come get their trash can! I seen them finally picking up my neighbors trash so I stopped them and was like please take the trash can and they refused and told me it would probably be tomorrow before they could come get it.. Well that tomorrow was over a week ago now. So I continue to call and call and a couple times they have answered but they are still refusing to come get their trash can! I REPEAT! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

This is the worst trash service I have ever had, haven't picked up our trash in 5 weeks !!! They won't answer the phone, just a recording, were behind, well they have been behind 5 weeks , so long there is a dead spot in our yard where our can is DO NOT get service from these people oh wait they don't answer the phone so good luck if u want to try

THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS! J & J should stand for Jiving and Jerking the customer around, because they do NOT pick up trash. Their bookkeeping sucks, they send invoices saying past due because they're too lazy to look up the payments we've already sent in. I believe they have a total of one truck, and it's always (supposedly) broken down, so they can't pick up our trash, but they still want to get paid. If you're smart, don't go for the cheapest, go for the ones that may cost a few bucks more but that are reliable and dependable. Saving a few bucks doesn't mean much if you're battling an ongoing bug infestation because your garbage hasn't been picked up in a month or more. STAY AWAY FROM J & J!

My elderly neighbors trash has not been picked up in 4 weeks. Her bill was paid. No one answers the phone day or night . Why hasn't someone contacted the BBB and the Attorney Generals office to file complaints. We intend to. Best of luck.

We are paid up as we pay by the year and our trash has been on the curb for two weeks and my husband would see them and they would just skip our house. We have had them for two years and have had issues getting a can in the beginning and then sometimes they skip us every now and again but when we see them just pass our house then stop then drive off and our can is completely full right before a holiday it is very frustrating. Save the hassle and use somebody else

I have had their services for over 4 years now when i first got them i paid cash then never reviced a bill after wards i have always called to have a new bill sent to my address but was told that the bill has been paid they dont pick up when they are suppose to so ur trash just sits there hoping that the next time they come around they will grab it after the first time calling it was no problem getting the trash aftet them saying that the bill was fine then when just in the past month i have had more and more problems with them not picking up the trash and then sit the rest of the trash out from the next week having an older man pound on my door to tell me that it is $5-$10 to pick up the extra trash when its their fault for not getting last weeks trash i sat my trash out sunday night like always for monday pick up they still have not got it called cant get no one on the phone cause they dont want to talk to the customers that are complaining left a msg they called back 2 hours later she was suppose to call back that day to tell me why neighbors have their trash picked up and not mine no call back called the rest of the day no answer left another msg called the next day left another msg and finally half a day goes by get a call from a rude as dude trying to tell me that my trash was not out there for pick up lie #1 then when i told him it was he tryed to over talk me to say no it wasnt i said i can go to all of my neighbors and he can ask them over the phone he said that he asked my neighbor to the north of me when i went and asked he had not talked to no one from the company lie # 2 so he said he would pick up on monday i said fine just need it gone before i get complaints cause its hot and will start to smell he and that i will be making a complaint on them if it dont get taken care of he says to me ur not the first one and hangs up he yhen calls back to tell me that i didnt pay that was the reason if so why the office person says its taken care of and then u tell me thats the reasoning then after u hang up call me back to find out what i want to do with my trash i looked them up on the bbb they have an F rating just because this what they do so if u want to use them bewarned of they non professional behaivor no answer no bill pounding at ur door for extra money and if u dont get a bill expect a huge one from them i strongly suggest that u look on the bbb for a trash service and even on their Republic is the only one accredited with them with an A+ rating a dang shame i did do my research before

Yikes!! Paid my trash service and they stopped coming. I called and had to leave a message. When they called back, I immediately felt I was a nuisance was told that I didn't pay my bill and there was no exception. Now I'm writing a second check just to get my garbage gone. Oh, and coupon book? What's that?

Worst trash service I have ever been with. I cannot get them to call me after leaving multiple messages. I told them we would be moving soon and we would have a few large loads in the next few weeks. We set trash out and they emptied the trash can on to my lawn and took it. They left trash everywhere in my yard. I had set up direct payment service every month, needless to say I have canceled the service!!! I don't even want to give them a star!!!

I have had them for 2.5 years and I paid 1 year in advance. I have been trying for the last year to contact the office and even stopped the driver 4 months ago and told him I need a payment book or something. He wrote my info down and said ok. I have not heard from them with any phone call, etc. It has now been 2 weeks since my trash has been picked up and they have not contacted me in any way shape or form. I will be switching companies as soon as I can get ahold of them.

I try to do local bsiness whenever possible but these guys were just too erratic. Pick up was almost like roulette and unreturned calls when trying to address service problems made continuing patronage impossible. Do yourself a favor and go with a more stable, well organized company.

I'm still on the fence. I recently started service based on numerous outstanding reviews from a friend and several of his friends on Facebook, and the fact that they will pick up recycling, too.



When I called to set up service, I had to leave a message, but I did get a call back the same day. The container was delivered promptly, but they required a $28.00 deposit that the representative hadn't mentioned on the phone. That makes sense, but I feel as though I should have been told.



I need to talk to them again, and have left three message in two days with no return call yet. I guess

I'll have to drive to their office... or select another service.



If I stick with them, giving them the benefit of the doubt due to bad weather, and things get better, will post again.

Are you serious!?

Love having threats made first thing in the morning. Their ghetto little truck is having issues so they hit it with a hammer for 45 minutes? The daughter, after waking my whole family, decides she wants to "beat my a$$" for no reason. Yelling profanities and making threats in front of my 2 year old son. Real professional. I will do EVERYTHING in my power to keep them OFF my street.

My experience with J & J Refuse has been, hands down, the worst experience I've ever had with a business. They are both rude, and utterly incompetent.



It was flat out impossible to get a bill from them. When you contact the company, and you’re lucky enough to actually get a hold of someone, you’re immediately given the impression that you’re a nuisance. We were able to get a hold of them three times. On the first two occasions we them to send us a bill, but both times we were told that they would have to do some research and call us back. We never received a call. (btw they only accept payment via envelopes taped to the trash can, but without knowing your balance it was impossible to write a check.) We finally tired of waiting on the “research”, and hired a new service. When we contacted them a third time to tell them we had switched to a new service, and ask that they retrieve their trash can, we were given an attitude and a bit of a run around. Eventually they agreed to come get their can.



When they arrived to pick up the can it had trash in it because they had failed to notify us when the bill was coming due, and refused to give us an accounting of what was owed. As opposed to just dumping the trash in the truck and moving on, the lady wheeled their can all the way to our new can by the garage, and proceeded to empty their can into ours one month old bag of trash at a time. My wife and I were outside at the time and asked if she had brought a bill. The trash lady tells us that she had personally sent us a bill three times, and because we hadn't paid she was sending our account to a debt collection agency.



We were flabbergasted and more than a little outraged at this point. We argued briefly, and eventually the trash lady agreed to send us another bill, but if my previous interactions with J & J refuse are the norm then I expect we won't see the bill until the debt collectors get a hold of us. At least then we will finally be able to get our bill.

First class business; always on the job - in the worst of weather.



As a customer of nearly fifteen years I can say they've gone out of their way to do a great job. I suppose they aren't humongous in size but they're just the right size to provide good old home-town service. I certainly do recommend, em!

Horrible service! Go to someone else!

These are the most unprofessional trash service I've ever encountered in my life. They forget to send you a statement and never sent me their supposed "payment book." I tried calling for months and NEVER got through to them. They don't have a voicemail so there is no way for you to leave them a message to call back. The one time I got a hold of them, they were extremely rude. The guy couldn't even remember what their address was to send a payment. I would not suggest this company at all. These are just a bunch of rednecks who somehow bought a trash truck and decided to pick trash up for a living. DON'T DO IT!!
