Do not buy from this place!!!! Joey at Penland sold us a van with a bad transmission, the engine light came on 5 min after leaving the lot! Still haven't received tags or title in two weeks time! The dealership did absolutely nothing to help and gave us the run around. DO NOT GO TO PENLAND AUTOMOTIVE! THEY SELL JUNK CARS!!

Charles William Penland Jr the owner was charged with Criminal Domestic Violence in 2009, Darryl Jeter the operations manager is a convicted drug dealer.
Spread the word far and wide they ripped people off for years in Woodruff SC now they have moved to Greenville County to rip off the good people of Greenville,SC post on Yelp and Google reviews.
They operate an illegal unlicensed company Penland Asphalt and Paving LLC they have screwed over several contractors in the area as well a several business owners they don't know how to pave.
Masters at bait and switch. Run from these crooked criminals. This is a public service message. Channel 4 WYFF declined to expose these crooks and channel 7 WSPA passed on the story as well.i even took documentation to the better business bureau and they did nothing, that entiy is a toothless tiger. You can't count on them to protect consumers. Help spread the word on these crooks and put them out of business.
I was told that the skid steer in one of these pictures is stolen so if you are someone you know had one come up missing email me or just text or call these crooks and criminals.

I worked for. This joke of a car lot and trust me when I say stay. Away or be screwed with a inferior car with no help of any kind from the staff they lie and they treat people like garbage

They work magic here! I went everywhere trying to get approved to just get back on my feet and they were the only ones that could get it done. Highly recommend

For starters, check engine light came on within 5 mins of driving car off the lot (documented by photo). Knew I had been scammed but called just to see what they'd say...was told to bring the car back so they could "reset" the light.
Joey at Penland acted all sympathetic and told me where I should take it to confirm and that if it was a big issue "they'd make it right." Per diagnostics of that mechanic, as of right now- without taking the engine apart yet- the estimate to repair the problem (which can make the vehicle just stall out) is upwards of $3k.
Also left vehicle with Penland on two different occasions for multiple days so they could repair dvd player per purchase contract with them. Per invoice this was supposed to be completed within 30 days.Told the manager Joey I had brought a dvd this time (2nd repair attempt) and wanted to confirm the repair. Sure enough THEY couldn't even get a dvd to go in the system. After having me wait around for another hour and getting their "dvd guy" to look at it they basically just said they had no clue. Told Joey between my anger over how they had obviously just reset the check engine light and now the waste of time/non repair of the dvd system I just wanted my money back so I could go somewhere else. He told me they don't treat customers like that and he would have his guys find me a new Acadia at the auction they were going to the next day. Told me he'd be in touch. After no word for two days I messaged him- his response was that he was "checking on it." An hour later I still hadn't heard further...tried again. This time the response was that they were back to looking for another dvd system. That was on December 4th. It's the 12th- 61 days post purchase and all I have is a broken dvd system in a vehicle that needs thousands of dollars worth of work.
