Dr. Cabin completed a two year fellowship in nutrition and preventive medicine at the University of Arizona. Diet and nutrition are an essential component of the health prescription. Because of this, Dr. Cabin offers a wide range of superior nutritional supplements to help his patients achieve optimal health. In addition, a wide variety of I.V. nutritional therapies are offered including glutathione, the biggest and best antioxidant; and natural chelating and detoxifying agent in the human body, and custom mixed B-Complex formulations, vitamin C, magnesium, lipoid acid, collagen (GH3), etc. Glutathione can be helpful for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative and liver disease.
Sinusitis
Prolozone promotes healing by injecting vital nutrients and oxygen/ozone into areas of the body that tend to heal slowly and minimally, if at all, due to insufficient blood supply to the area. It is also used to treat temporal mandibular joint pain (TMJ), migraines and chronic sinusitis. In addition, some dental conditions can be addressed by prolozone therapy. Prolozone therapy combines the use of procaine, a short acting local anesthetic, homeopathic medications, B Vitamins, methylcobalamin, folic acid, a complex mineral solution and ozone. Used in trigger points, it can be helpful for fibromyalgia pain and headaches.

A native of Chicago, Dr. Cabin graduated from the University of Illinois Medical School in 1979. He began his career in pediatrics, completing an internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Primary Care
As one of Dr. Cabin’s new patients, I can say how thrilled I have been with his kind, sensitive manner and willingness to spend quality time with me to know me as a person and not just another patient. The first intake session took about an hour during which time Dr. Cabin was able to assess my physical and emotional conditions and to recommend sensible and appropriate measures to address any issues I related to him. I really appreciate his emphasis on natural remedies confirming my own belief that the body has a natural tendency to heal itself. I have now been on a daily regiment of natural supplements and continue to feel more energetic than I have in years. In addition, Dr. Cabin is also aware of the need for antibiotics at times but prescribing drugs is not his first course of action. I do appreciate this! His office is a healing space with a staff ready to assist in a kind and friendly manner. At last I feel I am in sync with my primary care physician.

Dr. Cabin practiced for two years at the Tucson Clinic, and because both parents and grandparents of his pediatric patients wanted him to be their doctor, he completed a two-year fellowship in Preventive Medicine in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson. During that time, Dr. Cabin completed the course work for a Masters in Public Health prior to an established degree program. He also sought out and worked with pioneers in alternative medicine, such as, Robert Fulford, D.O. – the world-renown authority on cranial sacral therapy and homeopathy; Rose Tennant, M.D. – Autogenic stress reduction therapy; Ted Randolph, M.D. – the father of Environmental Medicine and food allergies; Margaret Ayers – who developed EEG neurofeedback, to name a few. His Preventive Medicine fellowship included two years of nutritional studies, which culminated in research and teaching nutrition in Egypt.

Prolozone therapy is an injection therapy used for a variety of conditions but, primarily, it is used for pain and the rebuilding of joints, cartilage and ligaments. Conditions commonly treated with prolozone include low back pain, sciatica, knee pain, elbow pain, shoulder problems, ankle and foot pain, shin splints, athletic injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome and other nerve disorders. In addition, it is also used to break down scar tissue and fibrous connective tissue by breaking down the adhesions beneath the scars.

Thyroid disease is usually treated with synthetic T4 and monitored by testing TSH levels alone. I use a variety of possible medications, including desiccated thyroid, and monitor blood levels with comprehensive labs to give a more complete picture. Although adrenal exhaustion is not typically recognized by conventional medicine, after thorough testing, I use diet and a variety of natural therapies – including glandulars, homeopathics and bio-identical hydrocortisone – to treat this condition.
