        Love this place!

        Great food, service, and the over all atmosphere is very enjoyable! The waitresses are always friendly and entertaining! Really good lunch specials too!

        seafood and decor, a good mix

        I'm a retired teacher from Missouri, now a writer.

        My son and family took me to Margie & Ray's Restaurant for an evening meal. It was delicious, the service was outstanding, friendly, and as an artist, I enjoyed the art work gracing the walls. We enjoyed our waitress, a most gracious, entertaining young lady.

        Margie & Ray's Restaurant was established in 1964 as a small country store and tackle shop which was owned and operated by Ray and Margie Blanton. This landmark building located on a dirt road, now known as Sandbridge Road, served as a convenience for local Sandbridge residents. The store was passed on to their son Thomas in 1997 where it was renovated into a small seafood restaurant. Over the past several years Margie & Ray's has become known as one of the top seafood establishments in the southern end of Virginia Beach. It continues to be operated by Thomas Blanton.
