We took my wife's 2011 Mini Cooper S to Flow Mini a couple years ago for a repair and they forgot to install a key gasket that resulted in coolant mixing with the motor oil, which ruined the engine. Fortunately, it was still under warranty, so she got a new $7,000 engine short block installed under warranty. Unfortunately, the dealership tech chose to install some zip ties [not kidding] instead of the proper mounting bolts to secure the battery tray to save time in that repair. The resulting vibration caused the electrical connections for the main 12 volt wiring to be damaged and fail, resulting in a need to install a $1000+ new wiring harness. Our experience with the Flow Mini dealership was entirely unsatisfactory, and we vowed to never again rely upon them to perform the repairs that one should expect from a dealership.

Con artists! If you don’t continue to lease and turn in a vehicle they will take you for every penny they can get. I was hit with a $1,000 service fee, which is obviously nothing more than ridiculous. I purchased lease protection that added over $800 to my overall lease cost. This was supposed to cover any and all repairs once turned in. Only when I contested the figure did the associate leave, speak with someone in the back, then return and say oh yeah, your tires are covered so that takes off $300. So if I had not contested they would have charged an extra $300. Not to mention they are trying to charge me 700 for an oil change.
If all of this is not bad enough they also want an additional $5,000 for over mileage. They say if I lease a new vehicle they can forgive this completely but if not, it’s out of their hands. If they have the ability to forgive in one instance, they could work with me on the other. But the associate would not budge. I was not late on a single payment in 3 years and the car itself is in beautiful condition. I took very good care of my lease car and they won’t work with me on any of these ridiculous charges. The worst customer service I have received period!! Not to mention their absolute incompetence in the service department. I had tires changed and they scratched several of my wheels. I had a graphic added to the roof and they stepped all over the plastic door jam without any protection. I received my car with dirt all over the plastic. I was lucky they didn’t scratch it.
I expect from a premium company like Mini Cooper a certain amount of professionalism and customer courtesy. This dealership lacks both. I will never lease from them again and likely will never lease from Mini Cooper. Thanks for turning away a loyal customer!!
