Several employees here never learned customer service essentials. I've received quite indignant treatment there on several occasions. Some of the employees act like they'd rather be standing out in the middle of the range than offer you helpful advice. There are a handful of good employees, but it's hard to tell who you'll run into. If you're looking for a decent range to shoot at, just walk past the sales counter and do your shooting. If you want somewhere to shop and enjoy exploring the world of firearms, visit Bill's Outpost about 5 min away. It should be opening soon, and you won't leave there with Stockholm Syndrome...

Best tactical gun selection I've ever seen around here. Their range is the best in the area and I guess that comes with being the one everyone else is copying.

Far beyond expectations. The staff was very pleasant, the older gentleman with the soul patch showed me several guns and even set me up with a free rental of which model I ended up buying. Their range is very well managed and very comfortable. I'll be doing a lot more business with them in the future now that I have been there.

Coal Creek Armory has been my "go to" gunstore for many years. They've always treated me and my purchases with respect. I too have transfered Class III weapons through them and have never had a single problem. It's a tricky process and some just don't have the patience to wait.

I will never do business with them again. I had a NFA item transferred throught them and it was botched. I had to send off the forms myself and the gun was tied up for 11 months due to there mistakes. I wish I could give 0 stars. I called before I traveled the hour and a half to get there and asked what kind of selection of firearms they had in stock, and was told an excellent selection. I was let down when I arrived. There was a minimal amount of firearms displayed for sale. I looked into the firing range area, and there was brass littering the entire floor, with one customer complaining of an object returning from the trap over his head. He was told that it was time to empty the trap. The only reason that I gave two stars, they had the exact carry weapon that I was looking for, at a very competitive price. I also purchased a Desantis pocket holster, which they sold $5 dollars cheaper that the Desantis web site price.
