General Info: Bottenfield Middle School, located in Adamsville, Ala., offers classes in grades six through eight. The school is affiliated with the Jefferson County School District. Its wide range of curriculum includes language, literature, creative writing, algebra, geometry, science, American history and social studies, anatomy and physiology, computer technology, and family and consumer sciences, art and music, and physical education. The school also provides special education programs to the students with the disabilities. Bottenfield Middle School library offers a wide range of books and reference material. The school s athletic activities include football, volleyball, basketball, golf, softball, wrestling, and track and field. The school also has cheerleading and dancing teams, and a musical band. The student council facilitates communication within the student body and serves as a liaison between the faculty, student body and community. Its various activities include biweekly meetings, public service activities, and fund-raisers. The school also has a parent-teacher association that assists in various school activities.
