        I was up from Chicago area and my daughter ran out of milk and we went to Groppi's. I was instantly charmed and transported back to my early years in Battle Creek, Michigan where I use to go to our corner grocery. If you enjoy childhood memories of "penny candy", kind chatty shop keepers, hardwood floors, cleanliness and "old world charm", then take a moment to visit this grocery.
