Smile Stars Pediatric Dentistry

Brought my 3 year old for the first time. The staff and dentist were all so very patient and kind. I was allowed to go in the back, and was very impressed with the atmosphere. Highly recommend! I don't know what why there are low ratings for this place, but we had a great experience.

I first scheduled my daughters appt around 3 yrs. old and asked if I would definitely be able to go back with my daughter, they told me yes. I get there and they would not let me go back. I should have walked out then. They sedated her in the waiting room, then later I heard her screaming from the waiting room. It was so bad others were talking. I voiced concern that she may not be numbed enough, and they answered right away without checking that he numbs them good, she's just scared. I said then I need to go back, they would not let me go back and would not let me take my child. Told them I was getting my child and they went back to tell him, while they did this I went through the door and they have straps for their beds to strap them down.

They brought my daughter out sobbing and grabbing at her mouth. They whole way home, she cried it hurt and even would cry out of nowhere later that evening and tell me he hurt her. This didn't happen today but a while back. I just got this app and after another dealing with him with a friend, decided to warn others.

While I was in the waiting room, every young child came out sobbing and I mean sobbing from their first visit.



Back to my daughter, I immediately brought my daughter to Dr. Gayle Sanchez in Denham Springs. I was able to go back there with my daughter so she wasn't alone. They never sedated her, gave her shots in her mouth and never once did she cry one tear. She actually loved it and wanted to go back again. There is no reason this big headed dentist does what he does that traumatizes these babies.

My friend just took her son and they had a mouth piece in his mouth to hold it open and still actually drilled the skin off of his lip, like an in. wide, like long and blood blistered the rest. He never told his mom and just told him not to pull on his lip so that my friend wouldn't notice till we were gone.

Got an emergency appt. because my son was in pain. Get there and they just cleaned his teeth. I was furious. They made another appt to come back to get the work done, I get there second time and they tell me they will look at it and tell me if they have time to fix it because they had him scheduled for a cleaning. Then when I explained what happened before that they had cleaned his teeth last time, she starts rolling her eyes at me. When I talk to the dentist he rolls his eyes at me so far up in his head I can't even see the color. Tells me I'm lying that my child does not have any cavities when another dentist office told me he had four and he complains everyday from his teeth hurting. He tells my kids he is lying. I have never ever had this experience.
