This is my mom's doctor. Every time I take her, it doesn't matter that she has an appointment and gets there on time, all the drug reps get priority over patients. They walk in and usually go right back. Unless he's already got another drug rep back there talking with him. Sometimes one of them brings lunch for the entire staff and I'm sure the competing reps are offering great incentives for prescribing their products over the others as well as some kickbacks or commissions.
Today I only saw 2 reps come in. Usually, I see at least 6. We were there early, she was taken back and sat over an hour as the doctor kept passing her up to see other people who came in after she did, plus the drug reps. Today my mom had enough and got up and walked out.
Spilberg is a good doctor, but needs to be more attentive to his patients instead of drug reps. Possibly set one day aside that he schedules no patients so he can just talk to drug reps and be more efficient about the time he schedules and spends with patients.
And today was also a slow day. Only 2 other people in the waiting room. Not sure how many others were already back in exam rooms.
