Nutritional Counseling
The Food and Nutrition Services Department specializes in providing a wide range of delicious foods each day for our patients. For those observing religious or dietary restrictions, special meals are happily prepared. Our registered dietitians and nutrition staff will help plan your meals. Your visitors are welcome to join you for meals in the cafeterias at our Salem, Nashua, and Manchester locations. At our Portsmouth location your visitors may purchase a tray of food as there is no functioning cafeteria for visitors. Vending selections and beverages are available on weekends and after hours at all locations.

Our Pain Management Team has created a healing and supportive environment for you. We believe that by blending physician and nursing clinical care we can help to relieve your pain by focusing on your individual health. This begins with us understanding your symptoms and goals.Â Â Your first visit is a consult. During this appointment youâ€™ll meet with a medical assistant, physician and nurse who speak with you about your experience with pain. We will collectively coordinate your care and work hand-in-hand to implement your personal pain management plan. Our dedicated team also includes X-ray Technicians and Administrators. We communicate directly with your primary care provider by sharing our clinical notes, plans and treatment progress with them. It’s important for them to have this information as they continue to guide your health and wellness. Together, we can all respond to your overall health needs and considerations.

Proof of current vaccinations, especially rabies, must be shown to the receptionist at the front desk before the pet is brought into the building or for a visit outside.

Patients with neurological conditions require highly specialized care. Our Neurological Recovery Program provides comprehensive acute inpatient services and medical management to meet the needs of individuals who have experienced complications from neurologic disorders such as Guillain-Barre syndrome, Parkinsonâ€™s disease, post-polio conditions, myopathies, multiple sclerosis, meningitis and other neurological problems.

Physical Therapy

The aquatic therapy program at Northeast Rehab provides aqua therapy sessions to individuals with orthopedic and neurological diagnoses. At the time of your evaluation, an aquatic therapist will design a comprehensive individualized treatment plan for you or your loved one. Certain conditions and injuries are best treated in our therapy pool due to the unique properties of water. The use of water allows you to function at levels that are not possible outside of this environment, which affords positive physical gains. The goal of aquatic therapy is to progress patients to a more functional, land-based program.
