Rookies Sports Bar

My family went to Rookies to watch the Euro 2012 Finals. After waiting over 30 minutes for a pizza for our girls, we finally got the attention of the owner Steve, who claimed they hand rolled the pizza's and they usually take 20 minutes. His demeanor was horrible. Our food finally came after a total of 40 minutes - a BBQ Chicken pizza, house salad, and sliders. Our kids were starving at this point. Steve said the pizza was comped due to the delay. The BBQ Chicken pizza was made with marinara sauce as well as BBQ sauce. It was not a good pizza. Steve, the owner, came by to check on us and we conveyed the issue with the pizza. He said he the pizza was comped and then asked if we'd like anything else...as on the house. My wife hesitantly ordered nachos slow turnaround, and Steve said he would make sure we would be taken care of. The nachos arrived within minutes.



The bill arrived, which showed the pizza comped, but charged us for the nachos. We questioned the billing, and the waitress told us Steve had left and she would get a manager. So in steps Albert, rudely asking "What's the problem?" As we explained our story, he did not give a care. He stated "That's what Steve told me, that's your bill" and walked away. He had no intention of addressing our concerns. He was a pathetic individual who should never deal with people. The entire experience ended with the waitress telling us "Ya...I'm looking for another place to work." I am a local small business owner, and if I ever treated my clientele that way, I would not expect to be in business long. A dreadful experience that will keep my family, my friends, and anyone else we connect with far far away from Rookies.

Too many places call themselves a sports bar yet don't have the NHL or NFL package. News Flash, that means your not a sports bar. This place has it all.

this is a great place with lots of discounts and specials threw out the week. Its a fun place to go have a beer, food, and watch the games on sunday or monday. on tuesdays its two daller beers, can beat that.
