WakeMed Urgent Care

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We were trying not to go to the hospital, so we tried this urgent care. My mother fell and tore muscles in her leg. She was in a ton of pain. After waiting 30 minutes, she was obviously getting increasingly uncomfortable, so I simply asked the front desk if there was somewhere she could lay and stated we were not trying to be seen ahead of others, just seeing if there was a bed that was available while we waited. "Dianne" stated she "didn't know", and that was that. She did not get up to check, nor ask. Just looked back at her computer screen. After waiting some more, a nurse walked us back. She was EXTREMELY rude, barely said five words, and when she did..again, was rude. I myself work I'm healthcare, and no patient should ever be treated this way. She was in pain, and all a patient asks is to be treated with a little empathy. If these so-called health providers cannot provide that, they need to leave the healthcare field to those that can. The nurse then put us in our room, didn't say ANYTHING, just walked out and literally shut the door so hard. Didn't say the doctor will be with you in while..nothing. After waiting some more, her pain level was increasing so we walked to the checkout desk and stated we had to leave. The woman, I believe her name to be "holly" stated in a cheerful robot voice, that I'd need to sign a paper to get the co-pay back. Offered no explanation for anything. Not have a good day, I'm sorry that you're in pain, I'm sorry for your experience, nothing. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't touch this place with a ten foot pole. Also, the room we were in what looked to be like an old blood stain, that looked like someone took their fingers and smeared blood on the windowsill. Get it together, clean and most importantly, work on your people skills.
