My faith in the dental industry, along with a couple of my teeth, was destroyed by another dentist. Dr. Ducoté restored my confidence with his high level of competency and professionalism. His entire staff impressed me with their unwaning commitment to do everything they could for me. The doctor exerted only 20 minutes of his expert skills, and I can now enjoy my life with zero tooth pain.

Find the tooth. Handle the tooth by the top (crown), not the root portion. You may rinse the tooth, but do not clean or handle the tooth unnecessarily. Try to reinsert it in its socket. Hold the tooth in place by biting on a clean gauze or cloth. If you cannot reinsert the tooth, transport the tooth in a cup containing milk or water. See a dentist immediately. Time is a critical factor in saving the tooth.
Bridges

Root Canal Treatment
If tooth decay or a crack in a tooth causes an abscess or infection in the dental pulp, it must be treated to prevent further infection and damage to your jaw bone. The treatment is called a root canal and is performed by a general dentist or an endodontist (a root canal specialist). The procedure includes removing the diseased or damaged dental pulp, cleaning out the pulp chamber and the root canal(s) of the tooth, and then sealing them. A temporary filling will seal the tooth until a crown can be permanently placed on the tooth. This procedure may take up to three appointments to complete.

Deep Cleaning
Scaling & root planning is a non-surgical approach to treating periodontal disease by removing plaque and calculus beneath the gum line down to the bottom of the periodontal pocket. The hygienist will smooth the tooth’s root surfaces, allowing the gum tissue to heal and making it more difficult for plaque to reaccumulate along the roots. This procedure may also include irrigation, localized antibiotics and hygiene instructions. Scaling and root planning may be performed in phases and require multiple visits.

Dentures
If periodontal disease, tooth decay or injuries have caused you to lose any of your natural teeth, dentures can replace them and improve your smile. Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth and adjacent tissues. They are generally made from acrylic resin and plastic or porcelain. Replacing missing teeth will benefit both your appearance and your health. Without support from the denture, facial muscles can sag making a person look older. Missing teeth may inhibit your ability to eat nutritiously and speak clearly.

Dental Implants
Dental implants involve replacing one or more missing teeth with man made teeth, resulting in a smile that looks and feels natural. Dr. Drew will surgically place titanium posts in the bone under your gums. Your bone will gradually grow around the implant, once healed a custom abutment will be placed inside the post for a replacement tooth to be anchored too.

Tooth Extractions
Tooth extractions are usually recommended as a last resort when other alternatives fail or are not appropriate. When a tooth is extracted, the neighboring teeth will shift and cause a realignment that can have a major impact on your dental health. Removing even a single tooth can lead to problems with chewing or jaw joint function. Teeth whose alignment has changed can trap food or be hard to clean thoroughly, placing them at risk for tooth decay or gum disease.

Braces
You and Dr. Drew may decide that a tooth extraction or removal is the best course of action for your situation. Extractions are sometimes called for because of severe tooth decay or advanced periodontal disease. Other reasons include broken teeth that can’t be repaired or teeth that are positioned in the mouth incorrectly or that are impacted. Sometimes a patient has too many teeth that cause crowding in the mouth and require an extraction. Orthodontists sometimes recommend extractions in preparation for braces.
