As a board certified ENT/head and neck surgeon, Dr. Eaton can treat all disorders of the head and neck. He specializes in the treatment of chronic sinusitis, nasal and facial reconstructive surgery. Board certified by the American Board of Head and Neck Surgery, Dr. Eaton is a member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, the San Diego Dermatological Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery as well as a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Eaton regularly lectures at national medical conferences. As an associate clinical professor at the University of California San Diego, Dr. Eaton is actively involved in teaching residents and fellows. He has authored numerous articles and book chapters. Dr. Eaton is currently a staff surgeon at La Jolla Outpatient Surgery Center, Scripps Green and Memorial Hospitals.

Dr. Eastlack was born and raised in Southern California. She attended Stanford University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa, with High Honors in Biology, and was a four year member of the Varsity Soccer Team. She proceeded to attend medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and graduated in the top 10% of her class. Her postgraduate training included an internship in Pediatrics and residency in Dermatology at the University of California, San Diego, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of California Berkeley, Dr. Eaton earned his medical degree from the University of California Los Angeles, School of Medicine. Following an internship in General Surgery at the University of California Davis and a residency in Head and Neck Surgery/Otolaryngology at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Oakland, California, he then completed a fellowship in Mohs and Cosmetic Surgery at the University of California San Francisco. In 2001, Dr. Eaton was excited to return to his home town to join the prestigious Scripps Clinic in La Jolla. There he was an active member of both the Head and Neck Surgery Department and Mohs and Cosmetic Surgery Departments prior to starting a private practice in 2007.

Mohs physicians are highly trained to function as surgeon, pathologist and reconstructive surgeon during the cancer removal process. Dr. Eaton is a uniquely qualified physician, having completed a Head & Neck surgical residency training program and a post-residency Mohs fellowship program accredited by the American College of Mohs Surgery. He was also the co-director of the Mohs fellowship training program during his tenure at the Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California. Mohs surgery is performed under local anesthetic in our state-of-the art office equipped with surgical and laboratory facilities, and supported by Mohs-trained nursing and technical staff.

Botox
Botox® Cosmetic was introduced in 2002 and approved by the FDA to treat moderate to severe frown lines. To reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles, Botox® is injected under the skin into the muscles of the forehead, around the eyes and mouth to smooth frown and worry lines, crow’s feet and lines on the neck. Mohs Micrographic Surgery was developed by Dr. Frederic E. Mohs in the 1930’s for the removal of skin cancer in a highly precise, effective method that removes not only the visible tumor but also any “roots” that may have extended beneath the skin surface. It is indicated for skin cancers in functionally and cosmetically important areas of the body. Five-year cure rates have been demonstrated up to 99 percent for treatment of primary cancers and 95 percent cure rate for recurrent cancers.

She maintains staff privileges at Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla. At Del Mar M.E.D. we treat the most common vascular conditions: telagiectasias and redness on the face from Rosacea or sun damage, sun damage on the décolletage and superficial spider veins on the legs. Vascular lesions are abnormally superficial, dense collections of blood vessels. Laser treatment effectively cauterizes the affected vessel and resolves the lesion and its resultant redness.
Chemical Peels
A chemical peel is a procedure to remove damaged outer layers of skin to smooth texture, improve pigmentation and reduce scarring in order to produce healthy, glowing skin. Treatments can be done on the face, neck, chest and backs of the hands.
