Terrible Customer Service. Took my daughters SUV in to get a new radiator and asked that they check the entire cooling system for problems as this is her only vehicle, They charged us $419 for the radiator, two days later problems with overheating again, took it back they replaced a radiator hose $66.00, Two days later more problems, took it in they looked on a computer screen and said it was the water pump and maybe some hoses wanted $479 to fix it again. We wanted to take the car somewhere else and sent a tow truck to pick up the car. J-Mac would not release the car until I paid them $96. When I complained they said they had every right to hold the car and that they do it all the time. Jason also stated "I'm not used to dealing with someone's Mom" Save yourself the hassle and do NOT use J-Mac. Took the car to a great mechanic, he fixed the problem for $300.

Diagnosis all wrong

I took my daughters ' 97 Ford F-150 to them to see why it was overheating. They told me that it had a blown head gasket. I sold the truck to a tow yard because it would have cost too much to fix. Talked to the owner of the towing company and he told me that he took a look at the truck and it actually had a bad water pump. He replaced the water pump and is still driving it today. I guess that they need to get better mechanics there.

Last Hope

After $850.00, 5 new parts and two "Expert" shops, my truck was still overheating. It took J Mac less than an hour to pin it down to a plugged radiator. (Something I had paid big bucks to another radiator shop in Nampa to look at but was assured was not the problem) My next stop was a new truck but after the J Mac fix was in, I can now pull over Parleys with no sign of trouble. Thanks Mike and crew.

Always great repair work!

I have used J-Mac for about eight years now and have been impressed since day one! Excellent repairs on radiators, coolers etc. and if the part can't be repaired they offer great products at great prices. I can only illustrate my possitive experiences with them. Great place!

Mystery Smell Fixed

A few weeks back I took my car into Jiffy Lube to get the oil changed. Shortly after the oil change, my car started emitting a weird smell. The tech at Jiffy Lube suggested it was the cabin filter, but I knew that wasn't the problem. It smelled like something was burning. The car didn't have the smell before I took it in, but coincidentally had the smell within one day of having the car serviced at Jiffy Lube.Every time I stopped at a light, or pulled the car into my garage I could smell it. The car wasn't smoking or burning oil, so it was hard for me to troubleshoot the problem.I decided to take my car into J-Mac Complete Car Care service to get a second opinion. Upon close inspection, the mechanic determined that the smell was caused by leaking transmission fluid. Apparently the techs at Jiffy Lube didn't fasten the cap tightly enough when they topped it off. The guys at J-Mac tightened the cap, washed off the fluid, and fixed the problem. It only took them a few minutes to fin

Quoted one price and billed for another

My case wasn't too severe but I was quoted 30 dollars to get something fixed and was billed for 55. I would have done it myself if I knew the price would be that high. They didn't even let me know that the price would be higher before they decided to go ahead and fix it. Poor business practice in my opinion. Also, about two and a half years ago from this same shop, the mechanic came up to me (I worked in the back there) and told me "They are going to try to sell you on a T fitting in your coolant system, thats not the problem so dont do it"... and sure enough they came to me and said "You need a T-valve that is in your coolant system, it will be $100 bucks" and I declined thanks to the honest mechanic.

They care

Their service is very fast, and they were concern about my needs, not just about money, and that is very hard to find.

Eternal hold.

I called to ask some basic questions about getting some work done and was put on hold for more than five minutes and then hung up on. I felt like they didn't even have time to talk to me and my business didn't matter to them at all.
