The present site occupied Midway Automotive at 411 Brockton Avenue in Abington has been in use as an auto dealership for some 40 years. Abington Subaru was at this location for over 30 years, closing its doors in 1996. The connection between Abington Subaru and present day Midway Automotive is not so obvious, though. The former general manager at the Subaru store was Phil Infiorati, a Vietnam veteran and experienced car business professional who hailed from Maine. In 1981, Phil hired a 17 year old lad from the neighborhood to work as a lot boy. The lad worked hard; he parked cars, swept the sales lot, went for coffee, and performed any and all manner of jobs that Phil could create. Neither had any idea how things would evolve over the years and, certainly, neither imagined how the roles would change. You see the young lad Phil hired as a -lot boy-was Abington's own Mike Deveney, the owner principal of the present day Midway Automotive. One of first things Mike did was to bring Phil back to the new Midway Automotive as General Sale's manager. Now, after thirteen years in business, Mike and his wife Lucy are reminiscent of the old fashioned American success story. They worked very hard to develop and maintain an exemplary record of customer service at Midway. Their business was built on integrity and respect and they are proud to have an extended family of customers who number in the thousands. Put your trust in Midway you'll be glad you did. We had been thinking about getting a truck for a little while. When we came in we were so happy with how attentive and helpful the staff was. We especially loved working with Bob, he was personable, knowledgeable, and made us very comfortable. We would defiantly reccomed this dealership and in particular Bob in the future!

I was in the market for a used truck and since I live in a fairly rural area, I knew I'd probably need to travel to find what I wanted. I found the truck I wanted online at Midway, called and spoke to Bob Hurley. Super helpful, totally understood my situation. Went over my trade and their truck on the phone, basically worked the whole deal out ahead of time so I could make one trip. Of course it was all dependent on their truck being as advertised, and my trade being as described, which it all was. Got to the dealer, everything went easy and smooth, out the door with the new truck after some paperwork with Dave in the business office. Bob and Dave were both great guys, very easy to work with. Definitely recommend them if you are car shopping.

Bob was the right guy for me to buy a car off of. Told him what the deal was took about 3 weeks to find the car I wanted. I test drove 2 cars. 1st did not work for me. The second car test drive, I took it to my own shop and they said it was a well taken care of car. I told Bob let make this work and 2 days later I drove home. Bob was very easy to work with.

We had a very nice experience working with Bob during our visit. We came in to test drive a certain truck which, unfortunately, was in the process of being sold as we arrived. Bob showed us a truck very similar the one we came in for and we took this one out for a test drive. When we got back, Bob walked us through the whole process and answered all of our questions. This made us feel very comfortable and at ease. When we were done with our purchase Bob explained what steps we would need to pick up the truck the following day. Midway sent a driver to our house to pick me up since I would be using my current plates. Everything went as planned. Based on our experience, we would gladly recommend Bob and the Midway staff to anyone looking to get into a different vehicle.

My day started off with car trouble. My 2002 Jeep Cherokee was going to cost $500 to repair. It was time for a newer and more reliable car. That's when I met Charles Wilburn. He was so kind and helpful. He made the whole process smooth and easy for me. I was a bit nervous since I wasn't actually planning on buying a new car that day! Charles made me feel so at ease. I bought a beautiful and Toyota Camry as able to have the car the very next day which was great. I was in search for a Mercedes ML350 and saw one that I liked on the Midway Automotive website. I called and spoke with salesman Bob Hurley. We agreed to meet the following Sunday afternoon. On my way to the dealership I was a little hesitant and nervous because it had been 5 years since my last car purchase. I didn't want to deal with all of the typical hassle of buying a car. When I arrived, Bob greeted my fiance and I with a big friendly smile which set me at ease. We took the car for a spin and then we were able to check out the car on our own (which we enjoyed). Bob answered our questions, was not pushy nor sketchy, returned my inquiries in a timely fashion and even accommodated a couple of requests I had before making the final decision to purchase. I waited a few days to leave a review as I wanted to make sure everything would be ok with the truck. I love my new SUV! I am so glad I found this dealership. I am a first time car buyer. I needed a reliable car to get me to and from school in Boston. I had a lower budget but they were still able to help out. Bill was my salesman and he was absolutely amazing. He gave us all the specs of the car and even though I was set on one he offered to show me more. I picked a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. During the test drive it must've had a tiny delay, something I wouldn't have noticed due to a first time car buyer. He immediately told me when we got back to the lot that he wanted the car checked out because he noticed it. He was upfront and honest. When I bought the car Dave in finance did everything they could to get me approved and told me honestly and truly which warranties he recommended and the ones he didn't. Not just in it to make a quick buck. Bill also made sure I got a new back wiper because the back one was older. He did absolutely amazing. Kept calling to let me know the status. These guys know how to help you out. Highly recommended
