Willard Elementary School

I am so upset over the way my nephew has been treated at Willard School in Ada, OK. He has been bullied the entire year. His parents have been to the school and attempted to talk to teachers and the principal at least 7 or more times. They have been told it would be taken care of, told it wasn't happening, their son called a liar, and various other things. My niece was told at one point to have her son slip the teacher a note the next time it happened. Which it did and she called the principal that same day her son gave the detailed note of what happened. With the note in front of him my niece was told her son is a liar and nothing could be done unless a teacher saw the incident. What child is going to bully in front of a teacher. My niece then informed the principal if nothing was done she would be withdrawing her son the next time something happened. She was told they would not "embarrass the bully" and he would not get in any trouble unless it happened in front of a teacher. My nephew gets physically sick every day right before lunch and PE because of the harassment and bullying. Nothing has been done all year. This week when my nephew was again harassed and physically sick at the thought of going to school because of an incident the day before my niece went to the school to withdraw him from Willard School. The principal called my niece and her son a liar. Slammed his hand on his desk so hard he made the entire desk shake.Came across the desk yelling at my niece with his finger pointed and at one point his fist clutched. Screaming and yelling saying he would turn my niece in to DHS and truancy officers because he would not stand for bad publicity against his school or himself. I personally have urged my niece to push for all the publicity she can get and to have the principal fired. Not just because he has turned his head and allowed bullying to be condoned in his school but for his bullying tactics also. It's a disgrace a 10 year old child has been forced to endure what he has this school year. Not one teacher has stood up to say enough is enough! My nephew is not the only child this bully is picking on. I am a Social Worker whose job is to keep children safe and risk free. I am totally ashamed to say my nephew has gone to Willard in the Ada School district. I will continue to encourage my niece to put a stop to this behavior and push to get this principal's behavior brought to the publics attention!
