Internal Medicine
Harvey J. White MD, FACC – Dr. White has dedicated his career to the management and treatment of the cardiovascular system. He is board certified in Internal Medicine (1981), Cardiovascular Disease (1985) and Interventional Cardiology (1999). He is a founder and past medical director for the Heart Hospital of New Mexico.

Stress Management
Blood Pressure Adjustment: Vessel Health offers consultative input in the management of patients whose blood pressure is difficult to control. Traditional “western” medications may be supplemented with more natural therapies including stress management, yoga, and homeopathic remedies.

Ultrasound
Carotid: The left and right Carotid arteries arise from the thoracic aorta close to its origin near the heart. Dividing in half near the jaw, each supplies one half of the face and hemisphere of the brain. It is at the division point that blood flow eddies often commence deposition of plaque, which when significant are audible to the physicians stethoscope and visible with ultrasound or other imaging modalities. Identification of plaque before clinical events such as stroke is imperative.
Radiology
Previously, John was the Adminstrative Director of Radiology at Women's Hospital in Albuquerque, after having spent several years in the Lovelace Health Care System, managing the ultrasound and vascular lab departments.
Radiation Therapy
Lymphedema: Dysfunction of the lymphatic systems drainage function may result in excessive swelling and disfiguring appearance of the extremity. Although worldwide, the most common cause is a localized parasitic infection (filariasis). Metastatic cancer, radiation therapy, surgical interference and traumatic accidents more frequently yield lymphedema in developed countries. The clinical setting and classic appearance often support the diagnosis, yet other venous or cardiovascular conditions must be excluded. Conservative therapy, including compression garments and wrapping, may control swelling and skin breakdown. More advanced cases require manual manipulation, massage and specific exercises. Laser and surgical therapy serve as adjuncts to conservative care.
