China Garden Restaurant

There should be a database of terrible restaurants in the DC area. If there were, this one would be at the top of the list as having the Worst Customer Service of All Time. The female maitre de is an impatient, atrocious, vicious badger who screams at her customers and routinely overcharges them. We asked a question about parking validation, and she yelled at my wife as if she were a child. The place was occupied by a wedding, and we were forced to dine an a side area that had all the ambiance of an autopsy room. The food was just okay. There are only two ways this place makes money: wedding receptions and unwitting tourists who don't know any better. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever eat here. They should call it China Garbage. I hope this place collapses under the sheer weight of its own cockroach population.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I'm still shaking with anger. They RUINED MY WEDDING DAY! They made my guests get their own drinks and just about everything else. They didn't set up my linens like they said they would and made everything late. they spitted on some of the guests food while they were speaking rudely to my guests. They brought food out so quickly and took it away even quicker. my guests didn't even get to eat all 12 courses!!! i paid over $1,000 for tip and and an extra $500 dollars to have two bartenders who couldn't be found anywhere that night! I HATE THIS RESTAURANT! They may have done many weddings but THIS IS MY ONE and ONLY WEDDING!!! It was suppose to be special. Now it was nothing but a nightmare and I want to forget it all!!!!

The food is nothing special; it is kind of greasy. One of the worst Chinese restaurants in the area. The worst part is the service. They have some of the most unfriendly waiters I have ever seen. Before you finish eating they bring you the check with an attitude that makes you feel like you have to vacate the premises immediately. Not a good place to gather with a friend or business associate, or for a leisurely lunch.
