I have been trusting Atascadero Pet Hospital with my beloved pets for over 30 years now. They have provided the best care at affordable prices and it’s a great comfort to me knowing my animals have doctors I can rely on to help them.

Atascadero Pet Hospital and Emergency Center has the most loving and caring staff and Vets. They all have the biggest hearts and care a lot about all of their big and little patients. I highly recommend this Hospital for anything you could possibly need for your pets. They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and always have open doors and lots of compassion!

I brought my closest companion Stella to see Dr. Aaron Schechter, because she had a low grade mast cell tumor removed, and I wanted to know what I should do to make sure Stella would not have any further problems! The office staff was very professional and accommodating and treated Stella and I very well! Dr. Aaron went over all of my concerns and checked Stella thoroughly ! I was very pleased with the professionalism shown! I highly recommend this facility to anyone who Loves their pet as a family member! Stella is my Sweet Pit Bull that is unreplaceable! Dr. Aaron gave me all the information necessary to keep Stella Healthy and Happy, which will keep me and my family Happy also! Thank You to everyone at the facility who knows how important Stella is to my family! Great Facility and Personell !!

As I was dropping off a very injured feral cat to be humanely euthanized a couple with a dog in definite respiratory distress came in. It sounded as if the owners had even called ahead to let the office know they were coming in. The dog was having a very hard time getting air and its tongue was beginning to turn blue. The office staff seemed more interested in questioning why I was dropping off and feral cat and their coffee break than the dog in the lobby. The couple and their dog were in the lobby for about 20 mins. As the dog started seizing another person in the lobby ran back and told the staff the dog was seizing in the lobby and it still took about three minutes before anyone came out to do anything. By that time the dog unfortunately passed. I am very sorry for the owners of the dog and I am beyond livid with the way the office was run. I will never, ever bring another animal to this office ever again. There is no value for your pets life.

If you care about your pets life don't ever take them here. Absolutely ridiculous. As I was going into an exam room a dog came in obviously in respiratory distress. When I came back out 20 minutes later the dog was still in the waiting room clearly in respitory distress. As I waited in the waiting room for my carrier to be returned the dog started seizing and died in the owners arms, no employees noticed, I had to run in the back and get someone to come to the waiting room. I am certain no one even bothered to look at the dogs condition when it came in. I am very sorry for those owners who lost their dog in their arms in the waiting room with no one showing any concern for their dog. I have been a vet tech and there is no way this should have happened. Absolutely ridiculous

It is a large facility, and easily accessible. Everyone is so helpful and the staff members really care about the animals. It's great because they see regular appointments, do medical pet boarding, and are a 24 hour emergency facility! And they have 8 different doctors to choose from! What a great body of knowledge to take a pet to!
