Absolutely awful. There is always at least a 30 minute wait just be put in a room then you usually wait another 20 minutes. Last time I was seen they did not call my prescription in, when it was finally called in the pharmacy couldn't fill it. I called back to ask for a new script and they said it would be called in. An hour later the office was closed but the script still hadn't been called in. I called the "on-call" doctor 3 times and never got an answer. I would hate to be a patient with a serious problem....

I use to work in the front office of a medical doc and speaking from experience you can't judge the front office based off an encounter or two..the front office is a very busy part of a medical practice probally more so than the clinical area. I have been there several times and the girls are always nothing but nice and you can normally tell if they are overwhelmed or just having a bad day. That being said, i think the focus of rudeness for lack of a better term should be on the two physicians that are in and out. They need to decide where their priority is if it be with the office of with UGA. from my experience with my doctor i would say UGA is more important that is why im choosing to see the PA or Dr. Griffin for now own. Dr. Lester is short with the patients and the staff she needs to be more considerate of her staff and patients.as a patient i do not wish to hear cursing and complaining about staff that is doing their best. She just really needs to go to UGA full time.

I take my elderly mother here ...

I take my elderly mother here and have found it a very good experience. We very much appreciate the quality care she receives from Dr Mary Bond and enjoy her easy going personality and caring spirit. Dr Griffin appears to be a very cordial doctor and all my patients that see him have excellent comments regarding his care and bedside manner. I will continue to recommend and refer to these doctors and this office.

Horrible

This was my first and last visit to Athens Primary Care. I had an 11am appointment for a possibly serious medical condition. All new patient paperwork was filled out before my appointment time. When I arrived the waiting room was empty but quickly filled up. Over the next hour I waited as every other patient who arrived after me was seen. I was told that they had several "emergencies" come in. Apparently they have a secret entrance for emergencies, as I saw none come in. After waiting for an hour I left. If this is the way they treat a new patient, I can't imagine how long my wait would be in the future.‎

Excellent practice. I see Libby, Nurse Practitioner, she is wonderful. My Mother and Father go to the other Doctors and love them. Ignore the girls in the front office, as they have a tendency to be very curt & NOT very nice.
