Overall

It is the best!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Brewster. My cat Ross needed an emergency blood transfusion or he would have died. Dr. Brewster saved his life. After countless tests there was still no reason what caused him to become so anemic. But Dr. Brewster wouldn't give up, he spent many hours doing research and coming up with the perfect treatment plan of different meds that worked for Ross. Without his dedication, time, support and his love for animals my cat would not be here today. There is no other vet I would use, he is simply the best! You can't go wrong going to gaines school!

Gaines School Animal Hospital offers full-service grooming and baths. Safety is our first concern. We never leave your pet unattended either in the tub or on the grooming table, and hair dryers are used either without heat or on low heat. All pets should be up to date on their vaccinations (if not, we can arrange to have your pet vaccinated). We groom cats, too!

We are proud that we have the most up-to-date equipment to treat dental disease, including digital dental X-rays. This allows us to detect if there is any disease beneath the gum line that we would not be able to see otherwise. We are often able to see undetected abscesses, broken teeth, resorbed roots, retained roots, and more thanks to dental radiographs.

Boarding
Meet Hayden! Hayden discovered his love for animal care during his last semester of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in psychology at Armstrong State University. He was a research assistant in a comparative cognition lab at ASU, where he provided maintenance and basic care for rodent subjects. Following graduation, he worked as a kennel technician at an animal boarding and daycare facility as he prepared to go back to school for veterinary technology. Hayden graduated with an Associate’s of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Ogeechee Technical College as of May 2021. He has since passed his board exam and received his licensure to be a Registered Veterinary Technician. We are excited about having Hayden as a part of our team, as his passion for animals radiates every time you see him with a patient! Stop by and say Hello to Hayden at either one of our practices.

Cat grooming is a specially-designed service for the needs and comfort of our feline friends. Each session is carefully planned and executed to provide the most comfortable visit possible while meeting the needs and requests of the owner with specialized knowledge and products, just for cats.

For the health of your pet, regular professional veterinary care is essential, especially for your senior pet. Preventive veterinary care not only lengthens the life of your pet, but it also improves your pet’s quality of life. A regular and complete physical for your pet can increase the chances of early diagnosis and treatment of physical ailments.
