I want to thank 'veryupsetcons...

I want to thank 'veryupsetconsumer' for writing this. I go there for the food and for the business ethics of Maxine, the owner/manager. I'm not sure I would have handled the situation with the finicky 2-yr old, in the same way, but reading this makes me happy that there will be 'one less' finicky 2-yr-old to contend with, in such tight spaces. Some people who 'deal' with small children are simply too sensitive when others do not understand what may be happening. We'll miss you, but thanks for the seat.

I am very disheartened to writ...

I am very disheartened to write this review today. First of all i would like to say that the food at this place is excellent and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. We just discovered this place a couple of weeks ago and today was our 3rd visit (we were going once a week and we only eat out once a week). I have not had a bad experience until today. We have 2 children a 2 year old and a new born. The adult price is 7.99 and for my year old is 2, which they say is .50 per year i never understood the math but never complained. Today my 2 yr old, being what 2yr olds are, was very finicky and would not eat more than about 3 bites of food. During the course of our meal the owner Maxine Bishop said to the lady at the cash register very loudly and rudely that today the price for my daughter would be 5.99 because she was wasting her food. I take this moment to say that i understand her concern and had there been a sign posted to that effect i would have had no problem but the entire situation was handled poorly. I then went to pay where i voiced my opinion on the matter and advised them i would not be returning. I spoke with the owner about the situation after i paid the bill. I then thought perhaps i might find a resolution or and apology for the situation but found that i was treated even worse. The owners solution was that in the future she would fix my daughters plate which is a problem she will not be having. I am so upset because i have been singing the praises of this place for weeks and now have been treated so badly. I felt that should share this for other families who do not want to cheated.
