Gear Transmission

Had my car worked at this location previosly and they did a good job. ( I neglected to check that it was still the same people at this location.) An ignoramus mechanic messed up something he shouldn't even have even worked on my car, so I had to get the transmission redone.



I took it on Wednesday, the day before a holiday. They started disassembling that day, and then they told me they would be taking off both Friday and Saturday after the holiday and wouldn't continue working until Monday.



On Tuesday,they called me in the late afternoon and wanted me to pick up the car right away and get paid in cash. I live about 40 miles away and they know it and was at work so I made arrangements to pick it up the following day.



When I picked up the car, it ran like crap. They obviously didn't know or didn't care to properly fix the transmission and rushed the job instead of taking their time to do a good job. I specifically told them a number of times to take their time to do the job right to make sure the work was done properly.



It seemed they were more interested in taking off an additional two working days after the holiday and rushing the job rather than taking their time to fix the transmission right. I ended taking it somewhere else to get the transmission fixed properly.



Moral of story: don't pay cash, read reviews to get a more accurate picture of the company and don't assume that just because you previously took your car to the same location that its still owned by the same people or that the same employees work there.
