The Donut Shop

Always in search of a good doughnut, my kids and I made a quick pitstop at The Donut Shop - Bloomingdale, just outside of Pooler, Georgia. Having spent the night in Hardeeville, South Carolina, we were on our way home to South Florida from Hendersonville, North Carolina, and needed a good donut.

Fast, friendly, and polite service - The Donut Shop - Bloomingdale also produces a good doughnut. My youngest daughter picked out a dozen - her favorite being the Cookie Monster. Sticking to the more "traditional" type donuts, they were all gone by the time we arrived home later in the afternoon.

If you're off in search of a traditional doughnut, stick with Dunkin' or Krispy Kreme - this place is not for you. If you're into a old fashioned or homemade type doughnut, then The Donut Shop - Bloomingdale is the place. Competitively priced - they're cheaper by the dozen.

Plenty of parking - they even have a drive-thru if you're in a rush.
