I went to intermountain for drug rehab and knew a girl that works there in billing named leslie she was so rude and unprofessional she talked about my rehabilitation outside of work and made my life worse than it already was trying to sober up she got me fired from work and broken up with by telling false story's about me and talking about my personal information in rehab she broke the privacy policy they hold strictly and put me through emotional stress after rehab and I lost everything afterwards I'll never recommend this place due to the unprofessionalism of that employee who thinks she runs the show she should be fired for breaking privacy policy terms at her work! Very unprofessional and rude thanks for getting me fired telling everyone I had a problem with drugs

Left with bruises on my arm and below my eye. One staff member joked about putting me in a gag. Will suck the glow out of you. Felt like a hole in the wall as far as medicinal facilities go, and the scary part is they won't let you leave. They'll tell you you're on a short hold, but then make you stay for 2-3 weeks. I met a lady there that said she had been there for 78 days. It reminded me of the movie Hostel. They have an outside grassy area and they have another area with basketball hoops - but they won't take you outside for weeks at a time and they'll never take you to the basketball section.

I went in to Intermountain because of complications of psychosis. I found that the staff there was respectful and kind. My doctors listened to what I had to say. We were closely monitored - the staff would come by every fifteen minutes to check on where we were and how we were doing. That made me feel safe, since I knew I couldn't hurt myself without someone finding out about it. There was group counseling, daily meetings with a doctor, and even meetings with a licensed social worker to make sure we were safe and had a crisis plan prior to discharge. I've been there twice in the past two years, and would go again in a heartbeat if I needed to. I am thankful for this safe place to be there when I fall. Thank you to all Intermountain staff - you are my heroes.

This place has a very dubious ...

This place has a very dubious at best track history, unfortunately there is very few options in boise for someone who truly is out of control and a danger to themselves or others. There needs to be more inpatient treatment options in boise. And yes this place does try to pump every patient full of meds , there is highly trained staff associated here, doctors that talk to patients, and counselors, but the majority of staff are very young and clueless, basically babysitters and med dispensors. You cant help people by starting them out with a life long dependance on powerfull and toxic anti psychotic meds, then what was a fixable but unbalanced person is now a drooling and listless zombie. Remember psychology is a new and still very debatable set of theories, its by no means a proven science and much of its foundation is based on cocaine addicted eccentric german individual by the name of Freud, who tortured his own child to test his theories.Any diagnosis is debatable. Lets also remember Idaho has a legacy of abysmal mental health services, we just recently stopped putting these afflicted individuals in ada county jail, Was that therapeutic? Intermountain is not much better.

This place is wonderful and caring!!

I went to intermountain hospital for drug and alcohol rehab. At first I didn't like it because detoxing is necessary and hard! While I was there I got the help I needed to turn my life around. I went to therapy, group classes, and the food was actually really good. I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about it being dirty. I experienced a building that was clean and orderly. The staff was professional, caring, and friendly. Without this program, I don't know where I would be right now. Now I can enjoy my life with my with my kids and husband. I have now been able to help my kids with their homework, go to their soccer games, and be a great mother and spouse! All thanks to Intermountain! I highly recommend this place!!
