Iou Sushi

I enjoyed the sushi, I am from Seattle, so I know fresh fish! The sushi was exceptional and the service and staff were friendly and great! Definitely recommend if in search for great sushi in Idaho.

We went to IOU hoping to eat good sushi and were VERY DISAPPOINTED! SERVICE WAS SLOW. A group that came in after us were served and we waited 1/2 hour just to have our order taken. The atmosphere was cold and BLAH. No charm at all and the one waitress looked like she just got out of bed. Will never return and would not even feed it to my worse enemy. Ate about 1/2 hour ago and starting to feel sick.

Don't have the spicy tuna though. It's disgusting.

Today two of my friends and I visited IOU Sushi to celebrate a birthday. We sat at a table and had our "all you can eat orders" ready before the waitress came over almost ten minutes later to take our order. My friends order Saki and one of the cups had something stuck to the inside. The sushi came out at a rather quick speed which was nice, but the spicy tuna was gross as it seemed to be ground up. Unfortunately, the server was extremely slow at filling our water glasses. After we were finished eating we sat there watching her clean the bar area, completely ignoring us. She would glance at us and continute cleaning. It's too bad she didn't focus more of her cleaning time on the floors as they were pretty trashed. Finally, a man came over to shut off the OPEN sign (transitioning from lunch to dinner I guess) and we had to ask him for our bill. That man was so nice and it's too bad he wasn't our server the entire time. The girl there really needs to be let go, as I am sure we will never be back if she is the only one working...the only reason for my four star rating is that the food was pretty good and was priced well....unfortunately the service deserves negative stars!

Hello my name is Brenda and after some thought I decided to drop you a line.....



My boyfriend and I were two of the first customers you had when you first opened your restaurant. We found the restaurant one night in our way to Starubucks, and as sushi lovers and Fuyijama regulars we decided to give it a try. We enjoyed the sushi and your chefs so much that we recomended it to our friends and family. Who also visit you in a regular basis.



My boyfriend and I never went back to Fuyijama until yesterday. This is why:



My boyfriend and I arrived at your restaurant around 12:25pm yesterday. A witress, who she says is the manager, took our order and left us there for 35 minutes. Finally after noticing us waiting for our food, she offer some Miso soup. Another 20 minutes went by, when she stopped by the table next to us and asked us if we had gotten our food. Needless to say, our table still clean with no dishes, we told her that we have not, and she simply said "How sad..." Offended we sat there waiting and after another 10 minutes she comes back and to tells us that they have not even started our order. I mentioned to her that I had to go back to work shortly, with the hopes to get her to go and get our order going soon, but instead she said, "I'm sorry we will make it up to you next time." So, we got up and left empty handed after wainting there for more than one hour.



I understand that you get busy during luch, I've been there many times, but can no longer put up with your manager. I tiped really high, because I loved your chefs, but I'm tired of your manager always messing up. I knew that the order we requested does not take more than 3 minutes, I know because we order the same thing all the time. The Chef's even know that....



My boyfriend and I will NOT go back to your restaurant, we will go back to Fuyijama....I hope you do something soon about your manager... and it will be very sad to see you go out of business, just because of her.

My sister and I went to IOU Sushi while I was visiting Boise, we have been searching for a great Sushi place for years in the area and FINALLY we have found our new favorite! The restaurant is decorated in a non traditional Japanese style but is very welcoming and warm.... The sushi was not only fantastic, but the service was exceptional, our server (TRINA) was the greatest! and the price is unbeatable all you can eat for under 25 bucks! AMAZING! our fave was the Bogus Roll.. its a must have. If your looking for Sushi in Boise its IOU SUSHI

I recently had lunch ad IOU sushi and am very very disappointed. I have yet to have such horrible service at any restaurant in Boise. I had to ask our waitress for soy sauce, our miso soup, and even had to track her down to pay! She never returned to our table to ask how our food was or to even refill our waters. The rolls fell apart and the Nigiri looked like a child had formed the rice. Presentation was horrible and the fish was not fresh. I will not be returning to this restaurant. If you want a good sushi joint, go to Raw Sushi on Vista. Staff is amazing and the fish is very fresh.

Me and my husband had a rare nightout wih out the kids and went to IOU, it was great!!!!! The service was great, the chefs were so much fun, they made great suggestions and we like the food!!!!! It was our first time eating Sushi. I enjoyed it and will be going back again!!!!!!

A good friend of mine invited me to his Birthday Party last week and we dined at IOU Sushi. The service was phenomenal, value was exceptional and atmosphere was genuine. I recommend calling in advance for a large group :)

The Sushi is sooo generic, I can get better from the delli at Albertsons or Winco. Presentation sucks and the tuna is ground up or something... Didn't have issues with service. All in all what can you expect for $20 all you can eat. Check out Ichiban, Fujiyama, or Kyotos for authentic sushi.

My friends and I ate at Iou today for lunch. What a great place. The fish was very fresh, the menu selection was huge, and the service was great. The all-you-can-eat price is absolutely UNBEATABLE! I have been a sushi lover for about 15 years, and I am very impressed with this restaurant. In only a matter of a few weeks, this place has it together. I will continue to go to Iou from now on and avoid exorbitant downtown priced sushi restaurants that offer less than average food.

I have eaten here 3 times. The food is great but I question the tuna also as it does look a little old or ground up.

The service was ok 2 out of 3 times, the last time we couldn't get plates, or drinks and when we asked the server for them he acted like he was going out of his way to do it. Over all pretty good but management needs to keep a better eye on the service or people will stop dining there. I hope that doesn't happen as I think the all u can eat is great and want them to stay in business.

I am from Reno Nv which is where this restraunt branched off from. I am so happy with the variety of sushi, the all you can eat, and the firendly staff. I have recommended them to everyone I know and will continue to do so. My personnal Favorite from the menu (a must eat in Reno) is the Godzilla Roll.

I love that it was All you can eat!! It was very fresh and I will deffinatly go back again. The chef's were fun. Plus it is very nice looking! A different look for a Sushi Bar!! Nice!

I love Eyo Sushi, It has a really new fresh atmespher to go along with its exetionaly fresh Sushi. I just love it plus it's all you can eat. Who can resist. YOu should try it out for sure and the SERVICE IS AWESOME!!! JUST LOVE THE STAFF!!!

My friend and I had lunch at IOU Sushi at the begining of the week and we are still sick! This place claims to have fresh fish but I think otherwise. We both shared three rolls and both got sick! The service was horrible too! VERY slow and the server did not know what she was talking about! BEWARE!!

The service was ridiculous. We had the manager as our server and she could not tell which sushi roll was what. She couldn't even tell us the price for all you can eat. If we asked for water it would take a long time, she would clean the lobby before we got help. The sushi was average. There is a big menu selection. I would stay away from anything with tuna. It did not look safe. It was ground up like baby food. I will not be returning for another visit.

Average sushi but the service was terrible.

This restaurant has a very warm presence, not the traditional japanese setting. It had the contemporary look which was very appealing and different. The food was very tasteful and a great variety to choose from. The chefs were wonderful and talented. I would go back again and probably bring a date with me, it's a perfect spot to wine, dine and be close to someone. I wouldn't recommend bringing children because it's not a huge restaurant.
