HORRIBLE PLACE!! Smells bad from the moment you enter. Our Mom was there for rehab after a broken Femur. Administration LIES, does not keep track of Insurance/rehab billing, LIED about refunding a deposit on a room, and NEGLECTED to let us know about resumption of insurance eligibility during rehab.
Staff are wonderful!! Loved every one!! Administration are LYING THIEVES!!!

I visited my father recently at Bryn Mawr Terrace for 3 hours. After the visit, I was called by the Social Worker and told, because I had taken pictures inside the facility, I was not permitted to visit my father again. According to everything I have read and everyone I have spoken to, this is not grounds for preventing a visit.

My Mom was in Bryn Mawr Terrace 3x during her terminal illness of Ovarian cancer in 2009 and 2010. Her care, her accommodations were excellent. I have recently recommended BMT to a friend for long term care. I am a health care professional and now work for a Home Health Care Agency. I recommend BMT personally and professionally.

The staff is very nice. They don't remember much when they leave your room, like asking the doctor to call you, the tubing extension (6 hours and three people) just so I could walk to the bathroom with oxygen, etc.

I arrived on a Thursday for five days of rehab. I saw the doctor on Saturday, had rehab Sunday and Monday.

My room stank of urine and they all knew it. I didn't smell it because of the oxygen I was on, but my daughter got it changed.

The weekend meals were horrible, they replace my lunch one, my dinner once, my breakfast once, lunch once and dinner once, all replacements were not edible. They didn't seem to care. My kids however, bought me soup and a pizza.

I had a fight with an occupational therapist whether I could get out of bed as long as I remained in the room unassisted, she said no, I have five doctors that disagreed, one was the rehab doctor from Bryn Mawr Hospital. The physical therapist however, said, 'let's take a walk!' We did and she said no problem around the room.

Now, I kept saying it was bad for me to lay in bed all day or sit in a chair. They never mentioned that there were events I could go to, ASSISTED, seriously. Oh sorry, they told me on Tuesday, before I left.

Medications, they decide whether they will wake you up or not for nighttime medications. I had one treatment prescribed for every six hours. I got it at 2pm, 10pm, 1am and they tried again at 5am. That scared me. I did mistakenly take the treatment at 1am, because they did actually wake me up and I didn't realize what time it was. When I refused the one at 5am, they asked if I wanted them to come back at 7?

They also threatened that they could keep me there and if I left I'd have to pay for the full stay. Yeah, a phone call to my insurance company prevented that.

Don't know how they are for assisted living, but for rehab I will never go back.

Bryn Mawr Terrace gave me an oppertunity to use my skills as a newly trained nursing assistant working in private duty. It was not only a great place to work They showed just how much they cared about the elderly in thier care by thinking of them in every way they ran the facilty. I will always give them the credit they deserve. I have fond memeries of my short time there.
